Just for fun. I was seriously tempted to use this name for dd when I was expecting but didn't. Out of interest would you?

GeillisTheWitch · 28/08/2017 18:00

No I think it will date badly.

myusernameisnotmyusername · 28/08/2017 18:02

I knew I was using common sense not using it! Just wondering. She does have a much more sensible and classic name! GrinWink

At least you corrected the spelling OP, I bet there are lots of little Danneris and Daeaeners around, they just haven't popped up on school registers yet.

FiveStarService · 28/08/2017 18:04

No.

chowmeinchick · 28/08/2017 18:05

I probably sound thick but how do you even say it? 😂

SocksRock · 28/08/2017 18:06

There is a Khaleesi at a preschool near me. She's a fabulous little girl, but I'm betting she will be a Lisa or similar when she grows up...

Starlighter · 28/08/2017 18:07

No, no, god no!

myusernameisnotmyusername · 28/08/2017 18:07

Dan-air-iss. Not sure about the name Khaleesi. I have only watched one series of GOT but liked it from the book. I suppose you could shorten to Dany but there seems no point.

I wanted Theon for ds but dh didn't think being named after a man who had his penis chopped off would be good for his morale. .

oldlaundbooth · 28/08/2017 18:11

Er, that'll be a no.

Thewolfsjustapuppy · 28/08/2017 18:11

My cousin who has never seen GOT and has clearly lived in a cave for the last ten years was dead set on calling her DS Theon. We begged and cajoled and eventually she must have googled it because she named him something else Grin

MrsJoyOdell · 28/08/2017 18:20

Nope!

I love the name Theon too - gorgeous. Shame really.

SleepFreeZone · 28/08/2017 18:21

No but I would have used Sansa.

Mightybanhammer · 28/08/2017 18:24

How about Damaris?

Fortunatepiggy · 28/08/2017 18:26

I really wanted Sansa if we had a girl. Dh was on board with it too but we had a boy

3EyedRaven · 28/08/2017 18:26

My fave GoT name is Edric Storm.
The whole thing. Edric Storm Surname.
Amazing

Bonez · 28/08/2017 18:29

He'll. No.

Bonez · 28/08/2017 18:30

Hell **

twattymctwatterson · 28/08/2017 18:31

God no. I'm a huge ASOIAF/GOT fan and I think that only maybe Arya would be acceptable for a girl. Or perhaps Catelyn
