Leonard would be on the BC.

Thoughts?

I would prefer Leo as a nn personally I think, although I'm not a huge fan of Leonard tbh.

chrysantheminion · 28/08/2017 16:34

Cute

SamuelHarper · 28/08/2017 16:35

The thing is though is that although Leo is in the name, it obviously naturally shortens to Lenny.

Leo is much nicer imo and a more natural shortening for Leonard or Leonardo (pronounced Leo-nard or Leo-nardo)

The name Lennard would shorten to Lenny.

SamuelHarper · 28/08/2017 17:22

Leonard is pronounced Len ard???

Lenny is cute. I like it.

I've never heard Leonard pronounced "Leo-nard" Confused

kimlo · 28/08/2017 17:55

the leonardo I know pronounces it, lee-an-ardo. Well his parents do, he's only little. I have never heard it pronounced leo-nardo.

RandomDent · 28/08/2017 17:58

Love it, go for it!

EmmyInTheSticks · 28/08/2017 17:59

I love Leonard. Lenny seems a perfectly nice nickname too.

MineKraftCheese · 28/08/2017 18:00

I think it's very cool, like the delectable Lenny Kravitz.

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 28/08/2017 18:04

Lenny reminds me of Of Mice And Men (spelt differently though) so I couldn't do it.

EmpressOfTheSpartacusOceans · 28/08/2017 18:07

Leonardo is pronounced Leo-nardo, but Leonard is definitely pronounced Lennard. And is "Lennard" spelt that way even a name?

WhatEvenIsSleep · 28/08/2017 18:13

My brother is a Lennie. Go for it!

viques · 28/08/2017 18:15

In the dark ages there was a Schools programme reading series which featured a very odd lion glove puppet called Lenny. I expect it is somewhere on YouTube.

Leonard is ok as long as your surname isn't Goodman.

Loyly · 28/08/2017 18:18

Love it.

Mightybanhammer · 28/08/2017 18:25

No Lenny was the challenged one in the beany on Crossroads.
I

ComputerUserNotTrained · 28/08/2017 18:26

That was Benny.

runwalkrun · 28/08/2017 18:29

Isn't Lenny the Simpleton in Mice & Men? or am I wrong?

the one who had the mouse in his pocket and killed it?

Sophronia · 28/08/2017 18:39

Love Leonard/Lenny!

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 28/08/2017 18:53

I like it, a lot ! 😄

Mightybanhammer · 28/08/2017 18:53

I stand corrected!Grin

Whoisth1s · 29/08/2017 00:14

.

Whoisth1s · 29/08/2017 00:17

Do it! I have a Leonard known as Lenny and we get lots of compliments on his name. Lenny does seem to be growing in popularity; I know three others. We do get the odd 'Lee-oh-nard' mispronunciation though.

Carouselfish · 29/08/2017 00:49

1st. 'Tell me about the rabbits, George?' Mice and Men
2nd. Long haired metaller or hippy.

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 30/08/2017 10:46

Lenny is a lovely name, but I'd stay away from Henry or Bruce as middle names.

Also never heard of Leonard pronounced Lee-o-nard.
