Middle name for Rowan (girl)

We've found out we're having a little girl. Although I was firstly set on Rowan for a boy, I really have fallen in love with it for a girl.

My partner isn't 100% as he thinks it's too masculine , but I'm working on him!

Our surname is two syllables (rhymes with Dalton) so I'm thinking we need a really girly one syllable name to make it flow.

Any suggestions welcomed. Thank you!

I know male and female Rowan's, it's a lovely name for both.

The first name that came to mind was Elizabeth, I think it flows well with the other names, but it isn't one syllable. I actually think a longer name goes better if both first and last name are two syllable.

I was going to suggest Elizabeth too!

I liked Rowan for my DD but got vetoed - it's a lovely name. My DD would have been Rowan Lily which is very common I know but it's a family name so was always going to be the middle name :)

I much prefer Rowan for a girl.

Elizabeth tripped off my mental tongue when I thought of the name too. A bit too royalist for me though

But failing that, you could always do what my parents did, and add a 'Jane' to their daughter's unusual biblical name. Or what I did, and add a 'Jane' to my daughter's not hugely unusual, but still-a bit-rare-in-the-north-west-of-England name.
