Brother in law is Anthony, names with l's and o's don't really good with our surname. Not sure if teddy is a bit young sounding.

I love the name Alice. Classic, not plain

leghoul · 03/08/2017 18:30

Someone nicked used the name I had planned for DS 2 weeks before DS born. It's frustrating. But I now kind of wish I'd used it anyway

Tean1 · 03/08/2017 18:40

If you are looking for names to go with Florence, you could try other Italianate names:

Rocco
Chiara

Or Shakespearean names
Cassia / Cassius
Viola
Olivia
Adrian / Adriana
Sebastian
Beatrice (think my Gran had cousins called Beatrice (Trixie) and Florence (Flossy)

Not sure on Italian names, like Iris but think I prefer Ivy.

I love Felix for a boy - our first DS was going to be Felix until he came out and just didn't look like a Felix!

Beatrice is one of my favourites for a girl.

Peppaismysaviour · 03/08/2017 19:20

I knew a Florence with a little brother Sydney (could be either boy or girl) and a Florence and Albert.

What about Edith?

lazycrazyhazy · 03/08/2017 19:20

Abbyl I have a Florence now 30. She was called Flo by a few friends in 16-18 years but aside from that never had been. It's up to them but it's not inevitable. I'm not called the traditional shortening of my name (think Sue for Susan) I think because I introduce myself as Susan.
