What do we think of Savannah? And how would you spell it?

Not keen. It sounds very trendy American. If I had to use it I'd spell it Savannah.

Migraleve the OP asked in her post how we would spell the name, and that was my answer.

I heard someone on TV screech this in a Liverpudlian accent (which I realise you may not have, op)... It was not pretty.

Sounds a bit like a character in some 80s/90s American sitcom. One of these 'messy but ultimately loveable family' type things.

Not horrible, just a bit meh.

I've only ever known one who was a friends stepmother growing up. She went by Sav though which I'm less keen on. I think I'd just call her Savannah or if I had to shorten Annie would be my choice

I really like it but my DH asked me if I planned for our daughter to be a stripper when I suggested it.

I knew one Savannah (same spelling) in school.

I think it's a lovely name, she was nn Sav but you could also use the nn Anna.

It's ok but I prefer more classic names.
