I like it as a nickname. Not as a name on its own.

Maybe for Layla or Lilianne/Liliana. At a real stretch Valerie, Alice, Alyssa, Lara or Lorelai.

I used to work with somebody years ago with this name. Not sure of her nationality or how she spelt it though. For that reason I wouldn't think it was odd or think twice about the name really. Think she might have been Indian, and spelt it Lali.

Short name for Larissa is Lara not Lali.

The only name I like similar or can think of is Lalani, produced Lay-Lani. My friends little girl is called that
