Lola

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Works fine as a name for either - just don't give it to them both!

MrsHathaway · 15/07/2017 12:11

Kitten.

Then call the daughter Kitty.

I'm not even joking. Adore!

daimbar · 15/07/2017 12:12

Grin no that would be confusing!
I love the name Lola but wondering if it's considered more a pet's name.

I love the name Lola, but I can't get The Kinks song out of my head whenever I hear the name!

Of course if she turns out to be trans you're on to a winner I guess though 😂

CremeFresh · 15/07/2017 12:16

My DD has a niece called Lola so I think of it as a human name . Mind you she has a kitten called Jeffrey which is also a human name Confused

Have you any other names you love for your DD ? If not I'd go with Lola and call the kitten something else.

SecretRed · 15/07/2017 12:18

This is my kitten who's name is Lola. Loved the name for dc3 who is a boy so couldn't use it

Kitten.

Me neither! Definitely for the cat.

SoftBlocks · 15/07/2017 12:34

Kitten.

nowyersuckindiesel · 15/07/2017 13:16

Our rabbit is called Lola. Love the name for either human or animal though!

ineedamoreadultieradult · 15/07/2017 13:17

Do you have a name you like as much for your daughter. I think it would be odd to give your cat your favourite name and your daughter the second choice name.

daimbar · 15/07/2017 13:24

Lola is definitely our preferred name - DP loves it. DD hasn't arrived yet ... and it just seems to really suit the kitten!

If you use Lola for the kitten do you have other names you both agree on and like for your DD?

daimbar · 15/07/2017 13:43

Nope and we have a beautiful middle name that goes perfectly with Lola and our surname.

MrsHathaway · 15/07/2017 13:47

Hmm. I don't think we can proceed any further without a photo of the kitten ...

KnockMeDown · 15/07/2017 13:50

What Mrs said! Grin

Oh she's a Lola!

MrsHathaway · 15/07/2017 14:16

Ooh I wouldn't go Lola with a creature as majestic as that. I'd go GoT or Suffragette or something with a bit more oomph.

daimbar · 15/07/2017 14:36

Hmmmm not so sure about Suffragette but I agree she's a majestic creature. Dorothy?

OP posts:
MrsHathaway · 15/07/2017 14:40

I meant a Suffragette themed name like Emmeline or Christabel.

I like Dorothy too.

Sallywiththegoodhurr · 15/07/2017 14:55

My DDog is called Lola DH wanted to call DD Lola so I called the dog it instead

I also know some human Lola's so wouldn't say it's a pet name at all!

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 15/07/2017 15:01

Use it for your DD. It's a name you love and you'll be saying it for the rest of her life.

Sittingonthefence83 · 15/07/2017 15:06

I think you should go with Lola for you daughter and Winnie for your cat!!!

KnockMeDown · 15/07/2017 15:11

She looks like Smudge to me Grin
