Not keen on Lola for child or cat sorry.

However your kitten is beautiful. She looks like a Sheba to me.

Lola is lovely, use it for your dd.

Ooh mixed views. I love Lola for a little girl but I do have slight reservations about it suiting a serious adult.

By the time our children are adults all the lawyers/accountants/doctors etc will be called names that sound cutesy now (Evie, Poppy, Archie, etc) so I wouldn't worry about that as a factor.

I love the name Lola- when I was told I couldn't have children, I bought a Nissan Figaro and named her Lola instead...

Totally agree with MrsH too.

I know a child called Lola and a dog called Lola 😉

I love Dorothy for a little girl. That kitten should be Sarah (means Princess).

I know an adult Lola & it works perfectly well on her.

Your kitten is absolutely gorgeous by the way & I honestly cannot decide whether your kitten or DD should have the name.

I'm very helpful aren't I?Grin

The kitten doesn't look like a Lola to me and if you've already got a middle name to go with Lola it sounds like you have your heart set on it for your DD - I say go for it!

strawberrypenguin · 17/07/2017 12:39

Lola for DD and Artemis for kitten (or Charlie cos then you can have Charlie and Lola!)

ScrumDinger · 17/07/2017 13:47

That kitten is clearly a Brenda.

Lola is a good cat's name. I just don't think it's got enough gravitas for an adult.

I wouldn't like to be called Lola as a nearly 40 year old woman. What shortens to Lola?... Dolores, Lourdes... they are quite religious names but maybe there are others so she has options.
