Atticus or Julius?
There will be no middle name as the surname is double barrelled (2 syllables first, 1 syllable after).

I don't love either, but I much prefer Atticus.

sonlypuppyfat · 14/07/2017 19:39

Depends where you live doesn't it, I like Julian but not what you've picked

TurquoiseOwl · 14/07/2017 19:40

I don't like either, but Atticus has to be the winner for me.

Enidblyton1 · 14/07/2017 19:45

I like both of them, so would depend on how they both sound with your surname. That would be deciding factor for me.

auntym · 14/07/2017 20:20

Atticus is best imo but only if you don't mind people asking you about your love for the novel To Kill a Mocking Bird when they hear it. It's so closely associated with the book. It's a lovely name but just in case that might bother you.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 14/07/2017 20:24

Julius.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 14/07/2017 20:25

Julius, but again, not keen on either.

DramaAlpaca · 14/07/2017 20:26

Atticus if you forced me to choose.

NapQueen · 14/07/2017 20:28

Neither.

greendale17 · 14/07/2017 20:29

Neither sorry

CocoLoco87 · 14/07/2017 20:36

I like Atticus but would you shorten it? I always shorten names so I would call Julius Jools. Like PP I refer Julian.

BogQueens · 14/07/2017 20:37

Julius by a mile.

grufallosfriend · 14/07/2017 20:48

Love them both! I think it would depend on your surname, but they're both great strong classic names!

MikeUniformMike · 14/07/2017 20:51

Jules or Atty?

OrangeSeville · 14/07/2017 20:52

Julius

Sophronia · 14/07/2017 20:53

Julius

grufallosfriend · 14/07/2017 20:54

You don't need to shorten names. My kids have 3 and 2 syllable names that very rarely get shortened.

Jooni · 14/07/2017 20:59

Definitely Julius, it's a great name! Atticus strikes me as a bit faddy.

TheUpsideDown · 14/07/2017 21:03

Neither. Sorry.

But if I HAD to pick one or the other it'd have to be Julius because then it could be shortened to Jules

MikeUniformMike · 14/07/2017 21:07

They do tend to get shortened. Or lengthened is they're one syllable. Not necessarily by the parents.
Both names are OK.

Wilhelminaaa · 14/07/2017 21:08

I would go with Atticus.

Lemondrop99 · 14/07/2017 21:23

Julius

grufallosfriend · 14/07/2017 21:27

Love both but prefer Atticus

MollyHuaCha · 14/07/2017 21:30

Like them both. Preference for Julius.

gladisgood · 14/07/2017 21:32

Atticus here, too.

I also prefer Julian
