Atticus or Julius?
There will be no middle name as the surname is double barrelled (2 syllables first, 1 syllable after).

Actually, I prefer Julian to Julius. Smile

SuperBeagle · 14/07/2017 22:19

Don't like either of them, but Julius is the least bad option.

Argeles · 15/07/2017 01:27

Atticus is lovely.

Cami12 · 17/07/2017 04:59

Atticus.

Atticus - I like the nn Kit for this

Epipgab · 17/07/2017 09:23

I prefer Julius.

How do you get Kit from Atticus? Wouldn't it be Tic? Confused

mammabear4 · 17/07/2017 09:53

Sorry @Epipgab didn't realise nicknames had to be exact cutouts from the longer name?

So... same way you get Bob from Robert, Teddy from Theodore and so on.

I know a little Atticus who gets Kit and I love it.

Not keen on Julius sorry OP there are too many Julians around my area who are 50 year old men x

SirVixofVixHall · 17/07/2017 10:39

Atticus is very trendy at the moment. Julius is more of a classic name.

BogQueens · 17/07/2017 10:43

Of course nicknames don't have to be exact snip-outs from the full name, but I think Atticus known as Kit sounds particularly odd because the nickname/shortening is an exact reversal of the middle syllable, and makes you start thinking that the obvious shortening for Atticus is 'Tic'.

mammabear4 · 17/07/2017 11:31

@BogQueens if you say so Hmm I suppose because I know one, and know he gets Kit, it doesn't seem odd to me!
