Help! Which do you prefer from these boys names:

Samuel
Joseph
Edward
Thomas
Arthur
Henry

I know they're all popular, so it's hard to choose between them. They all go equally well with our surname and we like all the nicknames. Any suggestions of reasons to pick one above the others??

Tom.

Joe

WingMirrorSpider · 14/07/2017 19:28

In order:

Tom
Ed
Henry (although prefer nn Hal to Hen)
Art
Joe
Sam

But I like them all, they all strike me as strong and handsome names. You have similar taste in names to me.

PocketNiffler · 14/07/2017 19:28

If a one-syllable nickname is important to you, then don't go for Arthur. Art is awkward.

I like them all though!

nowyersuckindiesel · 14/07/2017 19:31

Definitely Thomas/Tom.

Leonardo44 · 14/07/2017 19:36

Arthur or Joe/Joseph

MaddeningtheUnhelpful · 14/07/2017 19:37

Joseph but I'm biased as I have my very own little Go go go Joseph.

TurquoiseOwl · 14/07/2017 19:41

Edward or Henry Smile

SuperBeagle · 14/07/2017 20:21

IME, Arthur and Henry won't tend to be shortened by other people and Hen is awful

  1. Samuel
  2. Edward
  3. Henry
  4. Thomas
  5. Joseph
  6. Arthur
DramaAlpaca · 14/07/2017 20:25

Thomas is my favourite but they are all good names.

I like Edward or Arthur. I like the Victorian type names, masculine but sweet too.

NormaSnickers · 14/07/2017 21:19

Definitely Thomas (but I am biased as I have a lovely one)

villainousbroodmare · 14/07/2017 21:23
