My friend is down to these 3 on her shortlist for a boy and would like to know which people prefer. Smile

I love Adam

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 10/07/2017 16:31

Adam

rizlett · 10/07/2017 16:31

Laurence.

GrumpySausage · 10/07/2017 16:32

Adam, then Jonathan. Not keen on Laurence.

TomaszCanSchafernakerMeAnytime · 10/07/2017 16:33

Adam, then Laurence, then Jonathan.

SerfTerf · 10/07/2017 16:34

Adam.

SerfTerf · 10/07/2017 16:35

Laurie is very nice but I'm not mad on Laurence itself.

jellycat · 10/07/2017 16:36

Jonathan, then Adam. Not Laurence. A warning though: lots of people can't spell Jonathan (although they think they do know how to spell it so they don't ask how it's spelled -they just write it down wrong!).

HappyAxolotl · 10/07/2017 16:41

Lawrence with a w! Though they are all lovely names.

ReinettePompadour · 10/07/2017 16:44

Adam or Laurence with a 'u' NOT a 'w'.

grufallosfriend · 10/07/2017 17:03

Laurence is a girls name. The feminine version of Laurent. In the US Laurie is also a girls name

Lawrence is a boys name.

I prefer Jonathan.

badabing36 · 10/07/2017 17:06

Adam or Lawrence.

demirose87 · 10/07/2017 17:35

Jonathan definitely

MikeUniformMike · 10/07/2017 17:39

Jonathan, but it's a bit dated. And it ends up being Jon or Jonny.
Lawrence and Laurence are boy's names. I prefer the u spelling. It's going to be Larry or Loz. Laurence Llywellyn-Bowen is enough to put me off it.
Jonathon is just wrong.
Adam is ok.

jellycat · 10/07/2017 17:41

And I can't spell Lawrence 😳 In my defence I just copied the posters just before me!

SerfTerf · 10/07/2017 17:42

Lawrence and Laurence are both legitimate spellings @jellycat but it's nicer with a 'U'

20thcenturybitch · 10/07/2017 17:42

Another vote for Adam from me. Others are fine choices too though.

n0ne · 10/07/2017 17:44

Adam

SerfTerf · 10/07/2017 17:45

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laurence

jellycat · 10/07/2017 17:56

The OP spelled it Lawrence though SerfTurf Smile

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 10/07/2017 18:07

Adam

Lulette · 10/07/2017 18:10

Jonathan.

But PP is right, people can't spell it. It's always Jonathon or Johnathan (which I have never heard anyone actually spell it that way).

mintich · 10/07/2017 18:13

Lawrence then Jonathan

itssquidstella · 10/07/2017 18:41

Jonathan, then Adam, then Lawrence (although I prefer the spelling Laurence and the nn Laurie). Lawrence is a bit wet.

ClaraLane · 10/07/2017 18:42

Lawrence! It's my brother's name and I love it. He's never been a Laurie either, always just a Lawrence.
