Adam, Jonathan or Lawrence?

My friend is down to these 3 on her shortlist for a boy and would like to know which people prefer.

I love Adam

Laurence.

Adam, then Jonathan. Not keen on Laurence.

Adam, then Laurence, then Jonathan.

Laurie is very nice but I'm not mad on Laurence itself.

Jonathan, then Adam. Not Laurence. A warning though: lots of people can't spell Jonathan (although they think they do know how to spell it so they don't ask how it's spelled -they just write it down wrong!).

Lawrence with a w! Though they are all lovely names.

Adam or Laurence with a 'u' NOT a 'w'.

Laurence is a girls name. The feminine version of Laurent. In the US Laurie is also a girls name

Lawrence is a boys name.

I prefer Jonathan.

Jonathan, but it's a bit dated. And it ends up being Jon or Jonny.
Lawrence and Laurence are boy's names. I prefer the u spelling. It's going to be Larry or Loz. Laurence Llywellyn-Bowen is enough to put me off it.

Adam is ok.

And I can't spell Lawrence 😳 In my defence I just copied the posters just before me!

Lawrence and Laurence are both legitimate spellings @jellycat but it's nicer with a 'U'

Another vote for Adam from me. Others are fine choices too though.

But PP is right, people can't spell it. It's always Jonathon or Johnathan (which I have never heard anyone actually spell it that way).

Lawrence! It's my brother's name and I love it. He's never been a Laurie either, always just a Lawrence.
