Two middle names.

DramaAlpaca · 01/07/2017 18:39

I'd like two please Smile

GreenTulips · 01/07/2017 18:41

I have none - I'd be happy with one -

But I'd change my first name at the same time!!

alpq · 01/07/2017 18:43

Ah guess DH is right Grin we either want to go for both of our mum's names or none at all, so it's fair all around Grin

Dd has 2 and very proud!!

GreenTulips · 01/07/2017 18:44

Well what if you have another DD?

StarHeartDiamond · 01/07/2017 18:45

Two middle names. I think it's elegant/classy Smile

StarHeartDiamond · 01/07/2017 18:45

If you have another ddd in future you could use other family names as middle names (gp's, aunties etc)

BertrandRussell · 01/07/2017 18:46

2 please. Or 3. I have 3. But there has to be a story behind each name- not just "oh, we liked it"

Veronicat · 01/07/2017 18:46

I have two and a saints name from confirmation!

BikeRunSki · 01/07/2017 18:47

2

Me, my siblings and my children all have 2. I like it. DM only has one, but her brothers have 2 each. This has rankled for 70 years!

leannejade · 01/07/2017 18:48

Are they not names you could hybrid?
If my baby was found to be a girl, the girls middle name was going to be Jeannie which is a mix of our mums names, Julie and Jeanette. It wasn't too long and sounded quite cute.
Unfortunately wouldn't work for the dads, unless anyone likes the name Pauvan??😆

Veronicat · 01/07/2017 18:48

Sorry. Stray exclamation mark snuck in there.

alpq · 01/07/2017 18:54

Unfortunately we won't have another DD. This was extremely difficult for me to fall pregnant (IVF) and we won't be having any more

Fortunately, one of my nieces is already named after MIL. So dd has my mother's name and her paternal great great grand grandmother's , who was alive and able to hold her when she was tiny. Ds has his both his grandfather's names- one of which is very unusual and one of which healed a family feud.

They have always loved hearing the stories of their names...............

OlennasWimple · 01/07/2017 18:56

Two

Now you have to negogiate which one goes first (and is therefore the one that will be used on forms etc - you'd be surprised how many don't take account of a second middle name)...

gandalfspants · 01/07/2017 18:57

Two, as long as she doesn't have a double barrelled surname.

(My DD does so two middle names would have been too much imo)

BertrandRussell · 01/07/2017 18:58

"Two, as long as she doesn't have a double barrelled surname."

Oops. Blush

mistermagpie · 01/07/2017 19:00

I've got two, I've always loved it. One benefit is that it's very unlikely that somebody else will have the same combination of four names that I do, handy for credit check purposes. I also just like it I suppose! I have one mn from my mothers side and one from my fathers.

Both my sons have two middle names as well.

My DH has no middle name and I just think his name looks unfinished somehow.

AtiaoftheJulii · 01/07/2017 19:01

great great grand grandmother's

What? Grin

I don't have any and have never really cared. Two of my kids have two, the other two only have one.

If you like both the names, have both. If you hate one, have neither.

firawla · 01/07/2017 19:02

Two!

Mottled · 01/07/2017 19:04

Two! I have no middle names and feel left out. My DC have two

BertrandRussell · 01/07/2017 19:05

Yep-3 greats. What's wrong with that?

Grainfail · 01/07/2017 19:05

I've two - both of my grandmothers. Nearly caused an awkward set of initials until my dad noticed and they switched the order to avoid it.

My mother was proud that I was the only grandchild to include her mother's name.

Sophronia · 01/07/2017 19:12

Two
