What are your thoughts? He would probably be Vincent Blue. TIA x

Both great names - I'm a big fan of Vincent.

MadameJosephine · 25/06/2017 20:59

I really don't like it, sorry

Vincent on the other hand is an awesome name

DramaAlpaca · 25/06/2017 21:01

Vincent is OK, but not my style of name.

Blue is a bit daft, tbh.

Okite · 25/06/2017 21:02

Vinnie Blue. Bit too much like Blue Vinny! (Cheese)
Although as long as you're not in Dorset you may be ok.

holeinmypocket · 25/06/2017 21:02

It's very cool but a bit sad. I've got an image of a kids book illustration of him in my mind, looking out of a window on a rainy day.

Topseyt · 25/06/2017 21:10

Vincent is OK, but to me gives the impression of middle aged and older.

Blue isn't a name to my mind. I wouldn't. It is odd.

Caulkheadupnorf · 25/06/2017 21:15

I don't mind if for a girl, but don't like it for a boy.

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 25/06/2017 21:19

I really, really, vehemently wouldn't.

ScarletForYa · 25/06/2017 21:21

No. It's so try hard.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 25/06/2017 21:21

Vincent is great. Vin, Vinnie, Vince are pretty cool. Blue isn't what I would choose, but as it would be a middle name, it's fairly innocuous.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 25/06/2017 21:38

It's okay for a middle name.

TDHManchester · 25/06/2017 22:41

Vincent ok,blue,,pretentious.

MsPassepartout · 25/06/2017 22:45

Fine as a middle name.

Unadon · 25/06/2017 22:48

Vincent is great, blue isn't.

DanyellasDonkey · 25/06/2017 22:52

Not a name as far as I'm concerned. Quite a few around here usually to show football team allegiance Shock. Strangely it is spelt bleu but pronounced blue Confused

KanyeWesticle · 25/06/2017 23:11

Blue doesn't quite work for me - either a bit pretentious, or just sad and down. Neither description suits a baby.

Vincent Fox is kinda cool and artsy like Blue?

boggedoff · 25/06/2017 23:20

sounds like a fag brand sorry

nuggetofchicken · 25/06/2017 23:55

Beyoncé daughter is called Blue Ivy.

Sophronia · 26/06/2017 00:42

Vincent is great, but not keen on Blue.

rainbowpie · 26/06/2017 00:47

No. It's not a name. I'd smile and call it cool or funky or whatever to your face but I'd secretly be a bit Confused. Vincent is good though. Pretty cool actually.

Pallisers · 26/06/2017 00:55

Vincent wouldn't be my favourite name really. But it is a perfectly nice name. He will be called Vincent or some derivative of it all his life - the Blue won't matter.

DS has a friend with Blue as a second name - he is 20 now (only discovered the middle name at high school graduation). Know a few other kids too. it is grand. I don't really care what people use as middle names though. It is kind of a chance to either name after family/friends/heros or go a bit mad. I have a friend who has an Athena Sunflower which I think is brilliant. But probably no one who didn't get the birth announcement 14 years ago knows what her middle name is.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 26/06/2017 00:59

Vincent is a great name.

Blue is a colour, not a name.

KoalaDownUnder · 26/06/2017 01:05

There is a v common brand of cigarettes in Australia called Winfield. The blue strength is known as 'Winnie Blue'. So nah, I wouldn't. Grin

I wouldn't even in the UK, as I think Blue is a naff name.

SashaSashays · 26/06/2017 01:16

Bizarrely I know three Blues. One is in his forties so definitely not Beyoncé inspired.

The others are friends of my DC from nursery and football, both lovely kids from average families. I don't think of it as that unusual. I know more than I do lots of supposedly common or traditional names.

Vincent is awful though. Sorry but it makes me think of used car salesmen and the sort of men that have 15 kids with 10 different women. It's a bit seedy I guess.

ButterfliesandMoths · 26/06/2017 01:36

I think Vincent Blue goes very well together, it's lovely
