Still have ten weeks to go but DH works away and is finally home for a weekend so we're trying to get organised!

We don't know the sex of DC2, who will be a little brother or sister for our lovely Imogen, but have narrowed it down to a top 10 for both and then got completely stuck, so any votes or feedback would be marvellous!

Girls (MN Cecilia or Loveday)
Cleo, Felicity, Hermione, Iris, Isabella, Jemima, Juliet, Lucy, Nancy and Norah

Boys (MN James)
Alfred, Dexter, Edward, Felix, Fraser, Isaac, Percy, Rory, Rufus and Wilfred

Thank you!x

Oh nice choices op!

I especially love Felicity Loveday or Nancy Loveday for a girl. Rufus James or Wilfred James for a boy.

The only thing I'd say is that James seems to be a but like Rose in that it seems to be the default middle name where I live. It is a lovely name though and obviously you might have a special reason for wanting it, in which case, ignore me!

Bit like*

notmyrealnameyo · 24/06/2017 12:01

Iris Loveday or Felix James

Pickerel · 24/06/2017 12:04

I like Iris, Juliet, Edward and Rory.

My friend whose DD is Cleo says that she constantly gets called Chloe!

Amee1992x · 24/06/2017 12:07

I like Nancy\Felicity Loveday best.

& Rory James for a boy.

VinIsGroot · 24/06/2017 12:17

Pickeral my DD6 is called Cleo and she constantly gets called Chloe...it drives her mad!!!
Love Rufus though !!!

Muumi3 · 24/06/2017 12:18

Felicity Loveday - very pretty

Wilfred James - I think it sounds dignified, like an author

MargotMoon · 24/06/2017 12:21

Nancy Loveday or Felix James

Girls (MN Cecilia or Loveday)

Cleo - I know alot of people love it on here but it just doesn't seem a classy name to me. I've only ever met one, but spelt Cleo. Born in 2003 and just not a very classy girl
Felicity - complete opposite feel to Cleo and very nice. I like that it has the nn options of either Fliss or Flick. I know one. She is 1
Hermione - I really like it but it's just too associated with Harry potter for me
Iris - very pretty. I know one, again she is 1
Isabella - gorgeous though i think i prefee the simplicitt of Isobel. I know a few young Isabella's
Jemima - pretty just not my style, makes me think of puddleducks. I know one, shes 1
Juliet - lovely underused name though I would fear Julie as a nn. I know one, she's 2
Lucy - i love it and dont knkw any young Lucy's. I think I would use it as a nn for Luciana though
Nancy - just not my style
Norah - gorgeous, it's on my list for it I have another girl

My favourites are Norah, Lucy and Iris

Boys (MN James)

Alfred - i like it and i like Alf but woukdnt use as i dislike Alfie and Fred/Freddie
Dexter - nice but seems a bit trendy right now like it would date. I also know a few dogs with the name. I know 2 young Dexter's (can i revommend Hector, very similar sound)
Edward - nice but they are ten a penny currently
Felix - dislike sorry. It makes me think of cats
Fraser - not a fan sorry. I think of the shrink off the tv show
Isaac - nice and it's not a name I come across often. I like Ike as a nn
Percy - lovely though I prefer Percival. I know a one year old Percy
Rory - nice but prefer as a nickname for Gregory. I know s 9 month old Rory and a newborn
Rufus - love it
Wilfred - like because I love Wild, but hate Fred/Freddie. I prefer Wilbur

Favourite from your boys are Rufus, Isaac and Percy

TheSeaTheSkyTheSeaTheSkyyyyyy · 24/06/2017 14:38

CrownOfPrawns · 24/06/2017 14:46

I like Clio spelled like the car Muse of History.
Also like Nancy and Lucy.

Edward is a nice classic name, and adaptable.
Quite like Rufus.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 24/06/2017 16:44

Juliet Loveday.

Felicity Loveday
Rufus James

Wonderful names

Epipgab · 24/06/2017 18:24

Of your girls list, I like Isabella, Juliet, Lucy, Felicity and Hermione. Taking the middle names into consideration I think the nicest combinations would be Juliet Cecilia or Hermione Loveday.

Of the boys names I like Alfred, Edward, Felix, Isaac and Rufus. Rufus would be the most unusual I think (in a good way).

ScarletSienna · 24/06/2017 18:35

I like Jemima but the Aunt Jemima adverts being so racist and Jemima as a name having negative connotations itself for many now means I wouldn't use it.

Love Juliet and Rufus!

Sophronia · 24/06/2017 22:56

Jemima Loveday and Wilfred James

Sophronia · 24/06/2017 22:57

I don't think the Aunt Jemima thing is an issue in the UK.

DramaAlpaca · 24/06/2017 23:07

From your girls' list, I like all of them apart from Nancy and Norah.

Imogen is such a beautiful name, please don't inflict an ugly name like Norah on her sister. I can't see the appeal of that name at all.

My favourites are Felicity and Juliet.

Boys' names - I like Rory, Edward, Fraser and Alfred from your list, not the others.

bluechameleon · 24/06/2017 23:12

I like Juliet, Iris and Jemima best from your girls names.
For boys I like Edward and Percy. I also like Alfred but there are so many Alfies that I personally would avoid this.

Buntysoven · 25/06/2017 00:43

Nancy Loveday is gorgeous and sounds very happy. Wilfred James is also lovely.
Great lists OP

Elbi · 25/06/2017 09:02

Norah Loveday ♥
Rufus James
