Overheard name in supermarket yesterday and thought it was unusual but pretty? Thoughts?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Julybug · 13/06/2017 21:33

I like it

TheHyacinthGirl · 13/06/2017 21:33

I love it. It's on my list if I ever have a girl.

KavvLar · 13/06/2017 21:34

It brings to mind slugs and slime for me I'm afraid.

Reow · 13/06/2017 21:35

Like in Ferris Bueller!

AdalindSchade · 13/06/2017 21:38

Sloan rangers and ferris bueller
Not good

DurhamDurham · 13/06/2017 21:39

Awful, makes me think of Sarah Ferguson for some reason

RiverTam · 13/06/2017 21:40

As a Londoner and a child of the 80s it's too attached to Sloane Rangers, Sloane Square etc. How relevant that is these days I don't know. It's not one that anyone of my generation would go for!

BandeauSally · 13/06/2017 21:41

Don't do it!

Wolfiefan · 13/06/2017 21:42

Sloane Ranger.
Don't do it!

DramaAlpaca · 13/06/2017 22:47

It's horrible, a really ugly name.

AfunaMbatata · 13/06/2017 22:50

Horrible name, really ugly. Makes me think of dull grey buildings.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 13/06/2017 22:51

Sloan Ranger?

Topseyt · 13/06/2017 22:54

Yuck. Nooooo!

MrsELM21 · 13/06/2017 22:56

Nope

PsychedelicSheep · 13/06/2017 22:58

There's a character in Entourage called Sloane. It wouldn't be my choice.

Misspilly88 · 13/06/2017 22:58

Love it!

5OBalesofHay · 13/06/2017 22:59

Ludicrous

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 13/06/2017 23:02

Funnily enough I am just re-watching my way through Entourage!

I like Sloane but find it quite American. Like Chelsea.

flibberdee · 13/06/2017 23:02

I love it!!!

Nospringflower · 13/06/2017 23:04

Not a name. Sloane Ranger.

Wh0Kn0wsWhereTheTimeGoes · 13/06/2017 23:05

No, I don't like it at all.

SloeGinRocks · 13/06/2017 23:05

Just no.

KoalaDownUnder · 13/06/2017 23:05

Sloane and Greer are the two ugliest girls' names I can think of.

user1487941567 · 13/06/2017 23:07

Pippi Middelton was called a Sloane last week in the DM. So because it's used as in insult by crappy newspapers, I don't think I could call a baby that as a name.

W1A · 13/06/2017 23:07

It's a friends surname. She would love it if I used it as a baby name but I don't think she needs the ego boost. It would work as a middle name?
