I love both. Summer feels a little dated though. Also theres no obvious nn for Summer. Still I love Summer and would totally use it.
Violet is a beautiful, strong name, but also pretty. I worry that it's suddenly becoming a lot more popular though, and super-popular names are a turn off to me.

Really don't understand the fascination with Violet, like a pp said it makes me just think 'violent'. It also reminds me of the chewing gum child in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!
Someone said there's no obvious nn for Summer, what's the nn for Violet?
