Summer or Violet?

The Violets I know get called Vi (which I don't like), but I guess you could have letty or Etta maybe?

The only Summer I know gets called sum, (which I don't like), but maybe, at a push, you could have merry?

Not keen on either, really. Violet makes me think "violent", too, and I don't really get why you'd name a child after a very small flower, unless it's got a particular association for you - a bit cutesy. Summer is more a name for a dog, to me.

I worry about popularity of Violet too, but then again i don't really think that should be a reason to put me off as i do like other popular boy names!

Summer makes me smile.

Violet does actually have a sentimental meaning to me however i know its quite popular, i do also like Summer though

I really like Violet, it's lovely. I'm not keen on Summer, I'm not sure why, I'm not keen on months used as names either but that's my problem, not yours! 😂
