Cleo or Lila?

I've already got one little girl, Sadie. Is Cleo or Lila better for her sister? My reservation with Cleo is I'm worried it sounds like it's trying too hard. I think it's cool though. Love Lila but feel like there's loads of similar around and rhymes with Isla which I seem to know loads of.
Both ok with surname.
What do you think?

I think Cleo is lovely. I know a Lila, a Lilah, a Lyla, 2 Ella's, honestly about 5 Lilys, an Isla and a Lola. Cleo is cool and kind of old worldy but rolls of the tongue. And goes well with Sadie.

Cleo by a country mile. Bloody great name and ageless as well.

Thatextrainch · 25/05/2017 14:20

Cleo . I would never label that try hard

Sophronia · 25/05/2017 14:20

Cleo

WanderingTrolley1 · 25/05/2017 14:23

Absolutely love Cleo.

lizzieoak · 25/05/2017 14:26

I prefer Cleo, or Clio to Lila. Lila is nice, but Cleo is a great name!

happykoala27 · 25/05/2017 14:52

Love Lila - though I have a friend with that name who pronounces it "Lee-luh", so it doesn't rhyme with Isla that way?

Also like Cleo too!

SuperSix77 · 25/05/2017 14:53

Sadie & Cleo definitely. Lovely. And not too try hard at all. They compliment each other perfectly.

IamtheDevilsAvocado · 25/05/2017 15:04

Cleo definitely!

Kimonolady · 25/05/2017 16:54

Sorry, not into Cleo. For some reason I think of it as a cat's name?! Also link with Cleopatra, it's just a bit much.
Lila is very nice - and if you don't want to rhyme it with Isla, have you considered the name Leila? I think that's even prettier. Pronounced "Lay-la."

goldenrachita · 25/05/2017 17:25

Cleo is a very cool name, elegant, historical, feminine. Not too weird at all. It's well known and not difficult to write or say.

Lila is yet another variation on , Lola etc and there will be five similar sounding names in her class.

hellowembley · 25/05/2017 17:38

Thanks very much everyone- looks like Cleo is the winner

Another vote for Cleo.

MiniMaxi · 25/05/2017 21:08

Love Cleo! Very strong name I think. Lila more delicate.

ThreeForAPound · 25/05/2017 21:11

Love both of these names. Cleo wins by a whisker I think, as although Lila is such a lovely name to say, I'd rather be called Cleo myself Grin

PalomaViolets · 25/05/2017 21:19

Pretty sure I'm going to name my daughter Cleo so a yes to Cleo Smile.

SuperBeagle · 25/05/2017 21:50

Lila.

I think Cleo is awful, sorry. Reminds me cats and mystics.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 25/05/2017 22:59

Cleo.

BewareOfTheToddler · 25/05/2017 23:01

They're both lovely but Cleo wins it for me.

GloriousSlug · 25/05/2017 23:06

Love love love Cleo.

I think the cat in Pinnochio is called Cleo?

user1482079332 · 25/05/2017 23:07

I love cleo it was on my short list if Id had a girl

Lemondrop99 · 26/05/2017 00:17

I prefer Lila

Cleo is ok but also makes me think of cats!

needsomeopinions · 26/05/2017 00:45

Lila every time, and it's a completely different name to Lilly, Lola and Isla!

Cleo sounds more harsh to me and makes me think of the car

CeriBerry · 26/05/2017 00:58

Cleo is the fish in Pinocchio, not the cat! The cat is Figaro.

Anyway... I choose Cleo too. I do love Lila but there are so many similar sounding names out there at the minute.

Norky1975 · 26/05/2017 01:11

I've got a Cleo!! She's 9 and loves her name.
