Which do you prefer?

One is my choice, the other is DP's

We cannot agree.

I ❤ Marnie. I don't know any Marnies, but equally I know no Lois' either!

Both beautiful names.

iogo · 19/05/2017 01:12

I'd have to toss a coin. I'm sorry, I know that is of no help at all.

My friend's daughter is Lois and she's lovely.

Smitff · 19/05/2017 01:14

Lois.

Marnie for some reason sounds a bit self-obsessed or vain. Weird, I've never met a RL Marnie so no clue why I think this!

I like Marnie

Rainatnight · 19/05/2017 02:19

Marnie makes me think of Girls, so feels a bit 'of its time', but not really in a good way, if you know what I mean.

Sophronia · 19/05/2017 06:58

Marnie

Susiethetortoiseshellcat · 19/05/2017 07:00

I know a little baby Lois, I like it and would probably choose this over Marnie.

DuggeeHugs · 19/05/2017 08:30

Marnie! But I'm biased as it is a family name Smile

Jooni · 19/05/2017 08:58

Marnie

RockyBird · 19/05/2017 08:58

Lois

Kalina1 · 19/05/2017 09:39

Marnie, definitely Marnie.

namechange20050 · 19/05/2017 09:40

Marnie! Gorgeous name.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 19/05/2017 09:42

It's a close call, but I'm going with Lois.

auntym · 19/05/2017 13:09

Lois but it's close for me, both nice!

Rockaby · 19/05/2017 13:32

Definitely Lois. Lovely!

Rockaby · 19/05/2017 13:33

I do know a horrible woman named Marnie though, so I think that's why I'm not keen on the name!

harderandharder2breathe · 19/05/2017 14:03

Lois

Heratnumber7 · 19/05/2017 16:48

Would you pronounce Lois as Low-iss or Loyce/Loice (as in voice)?

Either way I like Marnie.

Thatextrainch · 19/05/2017 17:48

I like both but Lois is less popular so i'd probably choose that

dotdotdotmustdash · 19/05/2017 17:56

There is a Hitchcock film from 1964 called 'Marnie' about a psychologically troubled, but beautiful woman. I think it's an excellent name. Lois is also pretty, and I met a couple of them. I think I would go with Marnie in your position. It's not common but it's memorable.

PhuntSox · 19/05/2017 20:44

Lois!
