What do you think? There are umpteen nicknames for when he's little to make it suitable for all ages

Not a name I'd choose but if you like it then why not. Oh yes. Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen. Don't.

idontknow6 · 13/05/2017 16:25

i love it

user1459464195 · 13/05/2017 16:45

Love it and all the various nicknames. Enzo and Lance are my particular favourites.

Name15 · 13/05/2017 17:12

Mike he's Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen

Rockaby · 13/05/2017 20:35

I really like it.

I prefer the Lawrence spelling, as Laurence makes me think of the French girl name and Llewelyn-Bowen Grin.

Doje · 13/05/2017 20:39

Love it. I think it's a really strong sounding name. And love Lawrie for a nickname. I also love Laurie for a girl.

Itsnothingoriginal · 13/05/2017 20:44

Fab name - classic but not over-used.

Love it with nn Laurie or Lawrie.

Sophronia · 13/05/2017 21:06

Love it, prefer the Laurence spelling though as I like Laurie more than Lawrie.

Bringmewineandcake · 13/05/2017 21:08

My friend has a Laurence - nn is Lance.
I also knew a cool grown up one who went by Ren.

Piratesandpants · 13/05/2017 21:11

Lovely!

applecatchers36 · 13/05/2017 21:12

Love it

Wreckingball25 · 13/05/2017 21:29

We have a great mate who lives with us called Laurie. Top man, annoyingly good at everything! So I like the name because of him.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 13/05/2017 21:58

It's a great name, really like it .

DoorKnee · 13/05/2017 22:00

I love it, but bear in mind nicknames as all the Lawrence's I've known are all known as Loz.

DramaAlpaca · 13/05/2017 22:58

I love it.

Lawrence is traditionally the surname spelling and Laurence the first name.

Both good though, and I think I prefer the Lawrence spelling - it looks stronger to me.

gigi556 · 13/05/2017 23:04

Love it!

Joeybee · 14/05/2017 01:26

LOVE that name, and like either spelling but think i prefer Laurence.

daisypond · 14/05/2017 10:12

Yep, I like it. Laurence is the standard spelling for a first name, I think.

AudreyBradshaw · 14/05/2017 21:53

I've got a 6mo Lawrence. He suits it and I'm still delighted we chose it. We haven't settled into a diminutive version yet but his nickname is Spud. 😊

Lemondrop09 · 14/05/2017 22:17

Lovely

Lemonnaise · 14/05/2017 22:49

Love it.

SleightOfMind · 14/05/2017 23:16

DS1 is Lawrence. He's a strapping 6 footer now but has been through loads of nicknames as he was growing up.
It's been a good name - everyone can spell it but you won't find many others in school or clubs with the same name. Lots of variations so it can grow with your child but still serious enough for job applications etc.

Good choice!

29Palms · 14/05/2017 23:18

Nobody like Larry?

Logolphin · 15/05/2017 20:22

Good name, not too popular. I quite like Larry (very Durrels).

ClaraLane · 15/05/2017 20:25

My brother is a Lawrence and he doesn't have a nickname, just goes by his full name. I think it's a lovely classical name that grows with a child into an adult.
