What do you think? There are umpteen nicknames for when he's little to make it suitable for all ages

Great name - am biased. My Lawrence goes by Lawrie.

MeganChips · 15/05/2017 20:27

I love it!

CaipirinhasAllRound · 15/05/2017 21:00

It's definitely our top (only) contender.
Maybe Lawrence Patrick

If baby is a girl will be Claudia

Due in 4 weeks

Lawrence is nice. I wouldn't shorten it at all (the nicknames sound so girly especially Laurie)

grufallosfriend · 16/05/2017 21:48

And Laurence is definitely a girls name in France, like Florence.

(Laurent and Florent are the boys versions)

Mustbeinsane1984 · 18/05/2017 07:15

What about Laurens with emphasis on the 'Lau'. I think it sounds quite unique.

17caterpillars1mouse · 25/05/2017 10:47

I like it, especially as it can be shortened to Lawrie / Laurie which I love

EmmaC78 · 25/05/2017 10:49

I like it too Smile

goldenrachita · 25/05/2017 17:39

I have a bit of a crush on this name. Use it!

Ontopofthesunset · 25/05/2017 19:07

I like it, but prefer the Laurence spelling. I can't help pronouncing Lawrence Lore-rens not Lo-rence in my mind because of the 'law' at the beginning.

HundredMilesAnHour · 25/05/2017 21:11

I like Lawrence a lot but I'm biased as it was my late grandfather's name, and is also my cousin's name (although he's Larry to everyone). They are/were both strong characters so suit a strong name like Lawrence.

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 25/05/2017 21:27

Love it and the spelling! I know a little Lawrence and every time I see him I think to myself if we'd had another boy he'd have been a Lawrence.

HappyAxolotl · 25/05/2017 21:55

It's my late grandpa's name too and I've never met another Lawrence in real life. I love it.

Plus it is a classic name that people will be familiar with but also quite individual as it isn't used often.
