Juniper is nice but I also like Violetta and Constance. Jane is pretty and not that common these days. How about Violetta Evangeline?

CoralieConfused · 10/05/2017 15:45

This is not a pony club Golly, isn't it?? I've been cruelly misled!

I prefer your DP's names by quite a long way.

Surely Juniper is likely to get called "Gin" as soon as she hits high school?

junebirthdaygirl · 10/05/2017 15:47

Constan e is a fab name. Like Jane too

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 10/05/2017 15:47

Can I just ask one thing, please. Other poster and said negative things, so Why is it just me being targeted.

CoralieConfused · 10/05/2017 15:47

I'd never hear the end of it if dp knew his names were better liked Grin

Only one I like is Jane. Constance at a stretch.

user1459464195 · 10/05/2017 15:48

Would your OH like June as opposed to Jane and then you could both settle on Juniper, nicknamed June? Just a thought.

kitkat321 · 10/05/2017 15:48

Sorry I don't love any of them as full names but shortened I like most of them - Evie, Connie, violet, Lilly.

I don't like Juniper at all I'm afraid.

When I was a little girl and obsessed with Neighbours I loved Jane and wanted a baby called Jane. Don't love it so much now but from your list is probably my favourite. Sorry!

Choccyhobnob · 10/05/2017 15:49

I'm sorry I think I have very different tastes to you or your husband! I don't mind Evangeline but really dislike the others. I like Lilia without the S on the end but Juniper seems too hippy and makes me think of gin and Constance is just too harsh and Jane is my all time least favourite girls name in the world (but that's probably my issue! haha)

CoralieConfused · 10/05/2017 15:49

I think saying 'what fresh hell is this' re. a potential baby name is a wee bit stronger than normal criticism, but there we are...but I thought we weren't turning this into a bun fight.

Oh! Just remembered! I also really like January for a girl..

Well we're not. Flowers

Choccyhobnob · 10/05/2017 15:50

Oh and violetta makes me think of violent and vendetta! Which is weird as I don't think of violent when I see Violet and it's obviously much closer to it!

EmmaC78 · 10/05/2017 15:51

I like Jane but am not keen on the rest although I probably have quite boring taste in names ☺

Notsandwiches · 10/05/2017 15:51

Is it pronounced Lily-Ass? Not heard it before.

I'd be concerned about Juniper being shortened to June but like the unabridged name best.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 10/05/2017 15:51

January is gorgeous, but would probably only suit if born or conceived in that month.

CoralieConfused · 10/05/2017 15:55
Flowers

It's pronounced more like Lily-iss. Scottish name, I've loved it for a long time.

I prefer your names op, apart from Lilias only because I wouldn't know how to pronounce it? Also the suggestion of Juniper Jane as a compromise is great.

Dillyson · 10/05/2017 15:58

Juniper and Violetta are the best in my opinion.
Jane is a bit dull.

Rockaby · 10/05/2017 16:00

Oh sorry - DH's cousin is not Lilias, she's Lilas / Lillas (not sure which). Lilias sounds nothing like lillets!

Choccyhobnob · 10/05/2017 16:01

LOVE January! I wouldn't know if it was better to use it for a January baby or worse? I don't think January jones was born in January.

Rockaby · 10/05/2017 16:02

Love January too!

WateryTart · 10/05/2017 16:02

Juniper isn't a name for a person. A rabbit, maybe.

BertrandRussell · 10/05/2017 16:03

More Junipers than Janes born last year!
