Middle name for Elodie

I think we may finally have agreed on a name for DD2 but now need to find a middle name! Something short is preferable that helps Elodie flow to our surname beginning in L with 2 syllables...any ideas?

Thank you Smile

Grace is lovely with Elodie.

Nametrekking · 08/05/2017 10:16

We can't use Grace, Jade or Kate unfortunately. Also, DD1's middle name is Rose (after my Granny) which I still think is beautiful, despite it being so popular! Any more ideas?

Lillian, Dahlia, Daisy, Petal, Phlox, Juniper, Calla, Fern, Flora, Fleur or Lavender.

If you're after one syllable then the list above: May, Jane, Grace, Anne, Rose, Lynne possibly if it goes with your L surname, Leigh, or possibly short versions of names such as Sue, Bea, Vi?

Tbh, anything you put with Elodie is going to sound lovely, it's a beautiful name.

Elodie Blythe maybe?

Or keep it French:

Elodie Camille
Elodie Margot
Elodie Sylvie
Elodie Josephine (think it's French but couldn't swear to it)!

Personally I think one syllables names work better with a three syllable first name. If it is a two syllable second name I think the emphasis needs to be on the second syllable. Obviously you also have to factor in the surname. But Elodie is a very pretty name whatever you do to it.
