I think it has Scandinavian connotations. If I met a Heidi, I would think has a link to one of those countries.
But on the other hand, it is a lovely name and the reason above isn't reason enough not to use it!

I know 3 Heidi's aged 3-45 it suits them all - pretty classic but quirky.

I love it! It is one if the names of my fantasy girl twins (the other is Elle). I've already had 5dds and I'm now 45, so it ain't gonna happen!

It is also my brother's girlfriends name, and she is beautiful!
