Looking at girls names. Really struggling. Boys names seem to be much easier than girls. Opinions and ideas welcome :)

OP posts:

pipilangstrumpf · 27/04/2017 14:21

No, I don't like it at all, sorry.

But what matters is whether YOU like it :)

Sample1936 · 27/04/2017 14:22

Love it

robinia · 27/04/2017 14:22

It's a beautiful name.

Sophronia · 27/04/2017 15:39

Not keen, sorry.

Skp87 · 27/04/2017 15:41

Nice name but it's fairly common (as in popular lol)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 27/04/2017 15:43

I do, but I love, and much prefer Hebe.

Susiethetortoiseshellcat · 27/04/2017 16:26

I really don't like it but not sure why and know I'm in the minority, it's very popular.

GuinessPunch · 27/04/2017 16:26

Its awful. Reminds me of a drippy blonde.

hoddtastic · 27/04/2017 16:27

i know 3, ones in her twenties, one in her teens and a 3 year old, love it.

WhereAreMyTesticlesSummer · 27/04/2017 16:28

I really dislike it.

Fee-bee sounds rather ridiculous to my ear as a name for a human.

MrsBellefleur · 27/04/2017 16:29

I love it as I have one!

Iamcheeseman · 27/04/2017 16:30

I really like it. My 3 year old's friend is called phoebe

devondream · 27/04/2017 16:31

We have a Phoebe in our extended family - she is ace! And because of her I love the name too.

MiddlingMum · 27/04/2017 16:33

With the emphasis on phonetics in school, I think it could be a bit confusing to spell. But that's not really the point, I suppose.

It's ok, but would never be on my top ten list of girls' names, although the only Phoebe I know is lovely.

danTDM · 27/04/2017 16:35

It's very common.
I wouldn't choose it. You will be 'phoebe 2/3' etc, at school.

MusicToMyEars800 · 27/04/2017 16:35

I love the name Phoebe, also it reminds me of the character Phoebe in charmed, which I loved watching and she was my fav character Grin

ThePurpleOneWithTheNut · 27/04/2017 16:36

Im not so keen. It sounds a bit like Feeble to me Confused

Also there was someone called Phoebe on the Archers when I used to listen to it years ago and they always called her 'Feebs' which was awful.

purpleallover · 27/04/2017 16:37

I love it. Pregnant also and it is one of our favourites though not the name we have gone with. Go for it op 😊

shitgibbon · 27/04/2017 16:39

No, but only because it reminds me of Phoebe from Friends and I didn't like her character.

MyWhatICallNameChange · 27/04/2017 16:45

Love it, it was on my list but I thought Friends might have made it popular, though it never did (and I had boys!)

harderandharder2breathe · 27/04/2017 18:43

I really like iy

Riderontheswarm · 27/04/2017 18:48

It is not common where I live. I haven't met or heard of a single Phoebe other than on Friends. So I don't think it is likely she would be one of three in her class. But I don't like the name. It sounds weak and squeaky to me. Loads of people really love it though so if you like it go for it. I let people talk me out of my fave name. Wish I could turn back the clock.

Rockaby · 27/04/2017 19:32

Yes, I think it's very pretty and easy to say in most accents I can imagine.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 28/04/2017 09:30

Have liked it for ages Smile (but less keen on 'Feebs' as a diminutive which seems unavoidable).
