My brother was taught by a Mr. Shaw-Twillie. In a boy's prep school!!!!

bowtieandheels · 25/04/2017 18:26

I went to school with a guy called Patrick Micheal Hunt. Which was swiftly shortened to Pat Mike Hunt. Poor kid.

And there was a contestant on The Voice last year called Truly Scrumptious....which I thought was brilliant!!

I worked in the legal field for a few years undertaking medical negligence legal work, particularly gynaecology. Medical professionals used where Dr Cockshott and Professor Stud.

Also my colleague used to deal with a lady by the name of Victoria Bracegirdle which he really liked for some reason.

BouleBaker · 25/04/2017 18:38

DH us d to work with Dave Tingle-Kitchen which I thought was just awesome.

belgina · 25/04/2017 18:43

I didn't think of Tickell, but yes, there's a whole family of them in my dd2's school.

The best names I have encountered are a Dr Pepper and a Dr Hoo.

Marmalade85 · 25/04/2017 18:44

MrsGotobed · 25/04/2017 18:47

This is one of my favourite subjects, and my biggest regret of not working in a multinational at the moment.

Granville Clutterbuck is just all rounds fantastic.

A bored trawl through one worldwide address book yielded the results Willy Risin, Irina Vagina and Anton Shaggin - which was great, but his job title was Stimulation Resource Co-Ordinator. Even better!

I used to attend an osteopath called Dr Bones Grin

DissonantInterval · 25/04/2017 18:51

Some of these are gobsmackingly amazing. Here is my contribution:

Headmaster at secondary school - Dr. Fear. He was totally wet and useless.

Girl at same school - Susan Breadcake

Woman I had to phone at work - Susie Pine-Coffin

Neighbour - Mr Flasher

Orthopedic Surgeon in one of the hospitals here - Mr. Limb.

Boy in school I worked at : James (pronounced Hymi) Casablancas.
(sounds so much more glamorous than James Whitehouse.

Loving these names! I met a lady called Daffodil Marriage which I've never forgotten as its such a lovely name.

caz323 · 25/04/2017 18:53

I also encountered a Dr. Bugg!

UterusUterusGhali · 25/04/2017 18:55

Randy Gorilla*

There's a footballer called Luis Boa-Morte*, which I love. I wish my surname was Boa Morte.

*spellings may not be accurate.

My art teacher was a lovely lady by the name of Gaye Bott.
A friend went to school with a boy called Mars Bara. Not sure of the spelling!

UterusUterusGhali · 25/04/2017 18:57

belgina I worked with a Dr Hoo too. He was fab. His personal numberplate had his whole name, which was pretty cool. (Short first name)

purplecabbage · 25/04/2017 18:58

Nurse Tickle makes me chuckle - pure Carry On indeed! Grin I was once attended to by a Dr Twaddle.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 25/04/2017 18:58

Kylie Wylie (her married name)

nicetoseeyoutoseeyounice · 25/04/2017 19:03

I worked for a bank back when I was 18 and always came across funny names. We had B J King, mr sheepwash, mr tugwell, mr shitagher, mrs hardick..gosh there were loads. If I remember any more I will add them to the list. We are talking 10 years ago now though. We made kind of a game of it at the time to find the funniest customer names.

Sostenueto · 25/04/2017 19:06

One of my grandchildren called Fitzwilliam Darcy and then his surname. (From pride and prejudice).

useryourillusion · 25/04/2017 19:13

Two from a local parish.

I give you.....

Virgilius Vickers

And (ta-da)

Sue Handasyde-Dick.

Does this win??

ClopySow · 25/04/2017 19:17

I went to school with a girl called Wendy Howes.

We had a teacher called Mrs Smurthwaite whose son was called kettle. Kettle smurthwaite. Poor bugger.

crumpet · 25/04/2017 19:20

Tigersteeth · 25/04/2017 19:36

I went to school with a Rosie Ribbons, which I though was lovely, and through work I know an Orpheus Waugh!

lavenirestanous · 25/04/2017 19:41

There was an American called Randy Pratt at university. Couldn't understand why people pissed themselves laughing when he introduced himself.
