Baby is being registered soon and still stuck between these 5 names:

Naomi - love, but a bit put off because of the different pronounciation/ 'I moan' backwards has been mentioned a few times..

Eva - first name I considered, love it, just worried about the excessive amount of Ava/Evie/Eva's at the moment?

Sophia also apparently quite popular

Ria

Grace

Thoughts? SmileFlowers

I really like Naomi
(Nay oh me is how i would pronounce hadn't realised there were other ways and the backward spelling thing never heard before!)

Eva ok but v v v v popular
Sophia again ok but popular
Ria - no either misspelling of Rita? although sounds like Rhea (ostrich sort of bird)
Grace - v v popular here a few years back not so keen

go with what you love

Apparently loads of people pronounce Naomi as 'Ny-omi' (which I actually think is lovely too but can imagine having to correct people's pronunciation could get annoying!) x

If you don't want an overly popular name I would chose Ria or Naomi.
If you love Eva how about Evangeline on birth certificate with nn of Eva.

YouBloodyWhat · 20/04/2017 16:35

I like Naomi best.

HolditFinger · 20/04/2017 16:39

I have to go with Naomi as it's my best friend's name and she's absolutely lovely. It's a really nice name without being too popular.

TheLongRains · 20/04/2017 16:41

Naomi is gorgeous! Such an underused name. Definitely Naomi in my opinion :) congrats on your lovely new baby!

willconcern · 20/04/2017 16:43

I like them all except Ria. I think i'd spell Sophia as Sofia though.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 20/04/2017 16:45

I love Naomi. I never even thought about the it being I moan back wards.
However if it really bothers you. There's nothing stopping you from using a different spelling. Depending on how you want it pronounced. Eg Naiomi for Nay-omi or Niomi/Nyomi for Ny-omi.

Eva is very pretty.
As are Sophia and Grace. I think Grace works better as on middle rather than a first name.

I'm.not keen on Ria. Which is Air backwards.

Eva Grace
Sophia Grace
Niomi Grace.

Another vote for Naomi, but then I'm a bit biased as I am one!- it wasn't until I was 16 that I heard the "i moan backwards" bit and to be honest although I don't like it when people say Ny-omi it doesn't overly upset or bother me. I'm a "nay-oh-me" (Nay in short) but my own mother pronounces it "Nare-mi" so on the plus there's flexibility with however your child wants to be named! 😊

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 20/04/2017 16:55

Sophia Grace.

Redpramlady · 20/04/2017 16:55

Naomi is my fav from your list

Didn't realise the spelling backwards! Really doesn't matter I don't think.

Congratulations

Floralnomad · 20/04/2017 16:58

Naomi , pronounced with a nay for me .

AmysTiara · 20/04/2017 17:01

I like Naomi.

Sophia and Grace are very common and I've heard of a couple of Eva's lately.

Ria is okay but it does remind me of diarrohea

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 20/04/2017 17:01

Another vote for Naomi

I imagine people would follow your lead with regard to pronunciation. I have come across both Nay-oh-me and Ny-oh-me. I prefer the former

Sophronia · 20/04/2017 17:31

Naomi

MitzyLeFrouf · 20/04/2017 17:31

Naomi

user1492757084 · 21/04/2017 09:42

Grace is totally drop dead gorgeous.

Montsti · 21/04/2017 10:03

Sophia!

Not keen on any of the others...

Sienna5 · 21/04/2017 16:00

Thank you.. Flowers

I love Naomi but can see myself pronouncing it more as 'Ny-omi' which I dont think is the 'right' way to say it.. Grin

Are the others worse off just from their popularity? Easter Smile
