DD: Marissa or Lucy?

I prefer Lucy but only because the only Marissa I ever met was completely batshit loopy.

My dd is lucy and a friend called marissa. Friend is Italian and first time i heard the name. I really like it.

For some reason her dh calls her mareeesa but he is a twonk.

I like both, lucy is more traditional (in the uk) marissa is unusual without being pretentious or "out there"

Fwiw we couldn't decide between lucy or sofia but when dd arrived we waited a week and then went for the name she suited.

My cousin is Marisa pronounced mareesa who is a bit weird and I know one Lucy who is a bullshitter. So Marissa over Lucy for me. But pick something else entirely is my advice 👍🏼

Lucy, not only is it such a pretty name, but every Lucy I know is just lovely.
The one Marissa I know is quite hard faced.

The Lucy I went to school with was truly horrible and I used to work with a stuck up pretentious cow called Lucy but the one I work with now is lovely. Marissa gets my vote. Lovely and more unusual
