I love these names but are they too fussy?

Which one do you prefer?

Why, why, why Delilahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Unfortunately that will be sung to her all the time...

I love Arabella though. That was one of my favourite names for my DD before she was born. I would have used it but got overridden by my then DH and his mother Hmm

TitaniasCloset · 29/03/2017 23:15

Both lovely, I prefer Delilah.

DramaAlpaca · 29/03/2017 23:17

I like both, but would have to go for Arabella.

I don't find them fussy at all.

Mrsknackered · 29/03/2017 23:18

Definitely Delilah - love it!
I don't think Tom Jones is really what most kids of today listen to so I wouldn't be worried about that.
I like the sound of Arabella but yes I do think it's too fussy/frilly.

Hoptastic53 · 29/03/2017 23:19

And on the off chance it's a boy (all girls so far) - Wilbur, Jasper or Wilfred?

Mrsknackered · 29/03/2017 23:22

I'm a little biased about Jasper Wink
Wilfred is great too.
Would avoid Wilbur it makes me think of a little pig (is there a little pig called Wilfred somewhere?!)

Sophronia · 30/03/2017 01:08

Delilah and Jasper

SuperBeagle · 30/03/2017 01:11

Delilah has grim connotations. The Tom Jones song, the Plain White T's song, the Biblical association etc.

Arabella doesn't have any of that, and it has the better nickname - Bella.

I like all of your boys names, but would probably avoid Wilbur for the pig/Charlotte's Web association (not negative, but well known among people). Wilfred and Jasper are both lovely.

MommaGee · 30/03/2017 01:19

Both girls names are lovely but I'd go Arabella.

Wilbur is our imaginary dogs name. Jasper is my friends actual dogs name.w
wilfred - wily. Nuff said. Wil / Will / William is really popular atm

Hoptastic53 · 30/03/2017 07:19

I prefer Lilah as a NN to Bella but not sure which full name I prefer. I quite like Wilf as a NN for Wilfred but will 10 year . Wilfred get picked on among the Jaydens and Caydens?

Delilah is lovely.

MiniMaxi · 30/03/2017 07:27

I prefer Delilah and especially nn Lilah - you could even go for Lilah on birth cert.

Of your boys names I would choose Jasper but Wilbur is kind cool too!

Mumzypopz · 30/03/2017 07:50

Another why why why delelah.......I'm afraid. Have you not heard of Tom Jones?

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 30/03/2017 09:38

Arabella.

Branleuse · 30/03/2017 09:44

I love all the names on your list

ClaryBeanHorshAndMe · 30/03/2017 09:54

I really like Jasper, Jasper is a lovely name. Wilfred is pretty cute as well :)

Definitely Delilah. Do you like Araminta? :)

ClaryBeanHorshAndMe · 30/03/2017 09:55

Lilah is a lovely name, btw :)

Hoptastic53 · 30/03/2017 10:11

I do Clary. I also like Tabitha, Clementine (Clemmy) and Primrose but DP hates them.

ClaryBeanHorshAndMe · 30/03/2017 10:30

That's too bad :(

Do you like Cressida, Cosima, Odette, Allegra, Astraea, Verena, Beatrix/ce, Cora, Cordelia, Adeline?

But I personally really like the name Lilah, it's really pretty :)!
And Delilah is really fabulous imo.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 30/03/2017 11:31

❤️ Wilbur.

mum2be2boys · 30/03/2017 16:41

My vote would be for Arabella and Wilfred :-)

Majayjay · 30/03/2017 16:46

Delilah. I have an Arabella. Don't want her name to become common.

SlurplePurple · 30/03/2017 16:49

Delilah I have a 4yr old one who we call Lilah.
Love Jasper too.

Kazzawazza69 · 30/03/2017 19:26

❤ Arabella

LolaTheDarkdestroyer · 31/03/2017 17:44
