He is 6 weeks old tomorrow and we do have an appointment to register him but I am crossing my fingers that I'm able to change it.

The issue is that we just can't agree. My favourite name is Elliot but he doesn't like it and his favourite is Montgomery (I had never heard of this name before I met him). He seems to like really over the top 'posh' names? Confused my offer was Hugo - I thought that was an amazing compromise! He doesn't like that Confused

I'm struggling massively SadSadSad

Robert is lovely! Definitely not an old man's name. And it suits him! Robbie, Bobby, Bertie, Bob, Rob.

Snog · 14/03/2017 03:33

Love Robert
Or how about Roderick or Richard?

CakeRattleandRoll · 14/03/2017 05:38

Robert is great and suits him very well, I think.

Chatelherault · 14/03/2017 07:40

He is gorgeous!

Some slightly different name suggestions:

Xander
Jacob
Reuben
Julius
Richard
Edwin

Chatelherault · 14/03/2017 07:41

Oh, Peter is definitely survived a revival, gorgeous simple classic.

My all-time favourite boys names are Adam (might be too 'meh' for some but at least your DH can't say it's not manly enough - it means 'man' Grin), Felix (means happiness) and Sufjan (like the singer).
Robert is also a lovely name with lots of cute NNs for when he's little and squishy.

Gummibears · 14/03/2017 08:41

He's very cute!

I like Monty/Montgomery and Robert. Both good solid underused names.

goldenrachita · 14/03/2017 11:55

I can't see his photo, but I like your recent suggestion of Robert. Robert is more unusual these days and it's a strong traditional name with cute abbreviations.

I also like Rudy- I think that has a slight posh feeling but is also modern and not too overused.

I think you need to avoid Ellliott/Montgomery as they aren't ones you agree on.

mnbvcxzl · 14/03/2017 13:07

I love Robert.

Brolis · 14/03/2017 14:31

Have you had your appointment OP? Does that beautiful smiley boy have a name?

228agreenend · 14/03/2017 17:02

Does your gorgeous son have a name yet?

Aquamarine1029 · 14/03/2017 20:15

BadToTheBone · 15/03/2017 07:45

Sorry haven't read them all, has anyone suggested Sebastian yet? Lovely name, posh but not too out there.

BadToTheBone · 15/03/2017 07:45

Or Tristan?

Gummibears · 15/03/2017 07:49

Ivan
Quentin
Miles

Purplebluebird · 15/03/2017 07:49

I actually think Robert would be really nice for your adorable little boy!

Gingerbreadmam · 15/03/2017 07:52

oh gosh he really looks like robert haha he is gorgeous. congrats!

Sunshineandlaughter · 15/03/2017 07:56

You need to enforce Elliot if you love it! You carried and pushed him out IMO that gives you final say in the event of a tie!

He also looks like an Edmund.

Felix? Wilbur?

cauliwobbles · 15/03/2017 07:56

He's an Elliot if ever I saw one 😂

Theo
Reuben
Arlo

Not Robert, he'll be called Rob or Robbie.

Sunshineandlaughter · 15/03/2017 07:57

Robert def suits him

cauliwobbles · 15/03/2017 07:57

Wilf

Sunshineandlaughter · 15/03/2017 07:57
