What are the baby names you DIDN'T go with?

I've just found a note of possible names on my phone and I found it really interesting the variety of names we considered. We've had two girls so never got to choose a boys names, my absolute favourite boys name is Sebastian and I really would have pushed for that.

Cleo was my first choice for DD2 but DH couldn't get past Renault Clio association.

His first choice for DD1 was Jessica but I had hyperemesis and all I could hear was the "sick" sound in the middle.

We both liked Erin but decided it was too plain. Esme was too fancy. I think our DDs' names are somewhere in between.

Minnie for a girl - didn't go with that because DC came out with a mickey

For a boy;
Paddy - my first choice but his dad hated it

Marshall - I loved but dad was on the fence, became a definite no when I gave birth on Eminem's birthday

Oscar - I didn't dislike but didn't like enough

Eric - after Cantona but his dad's family support Everton so I managed to slip it in as middle name as a compromise

Martha, Tabitha, Susannah and Eva were the ones we agreed on and very nearly used for DD (Blythe, Marianne and Vita were the ones I loved which never got near the table!)

DS could easily have been Zachary/iah, Jacob or Bartholomew (though we both reckoned that was a bit much!)

Broomstick my dd2 has one of your girl's names the Cornish one as a middle name, I'd've happily used it as her first name but no chance of getting it past dh.

Laniakea- DD is always horrified by the thought that she could have been called by that Cornish name, and likes Lucinda best out of all the options. DS is horrified by the thought of Constantine, but quite likes Clovis.

Both got eye rolls from family but still love those names!

It's still pretty much my favourite name ever - I justify it by reminding everyone I am from the West Country & knew a few in my childhood. MIL's face when we told her the name though I told her she was lucky it wasn't dd's first name!

DD1 prefers Cressida to the name she ended up with - but I still think it is a bit OTT (the name she actually has is pretentious enough). I'd've love to have used Idris, but dh got to pick the names of the younger two (from the choice of two each) while I picked the older two
