Terrible or lovely? I've lost all ability to know with boys names now!

Lovely

Ilovecaindingle · 01/02/2017 19:38

Nn Vinnie is great!!

mistermagpie · 01/02/2017 19:39

I really like the idea of a little Vinnie, but my judgement around boys names is terrible. I gave DS the only name I truly loved and if this baby is a boy I'm really stuck!

I like it.

Thisrabbitthatrabbit · 01/02/2017 19:40

Love it.

TheHiphopopotamus · 01/02/2017 19:42

I don't like it. It's a bit 80's for me and it reminds me of Vinnie Jones.

I do know a little Vinnie though, he's about 7 or 8 so it must be making a comeback.

midsomermurderess · 01/02/2017 19:43

Love it too, although it does prompt Ian Dury's 'Sweet Gene Vincent' to play in my head.

Enkopkaffetak · 01/02/2017 19:47

Love it Sadly dh didnt

Garnethair · 01/02/2017 19:55

Vince Noir. Excellent name

marthastew · 01/02/2017 19:55

Love it. Vincent Van Gogh not necessarily Vinnie Jones.

I also love Victor.

GreatScot8 · 01/02/2017 19:59

I love Vincent. I prefer Vince as a nn though.

Also love Victor as a previous poster suggested.

KlingybunFistelvase · 01/02/2017 20:21

Love it!

RedSauce · 01/02/2017 20:38

Love it!!

SelfObsessionHoney · 01/02/2017 20:39

Lovely name.

howtheheckdoidealwiththis · 01/02/2017 20:45

Great name. Good choice of nn too if you want.

mrssmith79 · 01/02/2017 20:48

My brain goes straight to Beauty and the Beast, not the Disney one, the cheesy eighties one. I like it.

FellOutOfBed2wice · 01/02/2017 20:49

God no. Truly terrible. Vincent is terrible and Vinnie is worse. I'm from Essex and it's one of those names (Vinnie at least) that you hear being screeched in the big Asda in Basildon.

I know this reply makes me sound shallow and a snob. I'm not, I promise.... but please don't name your kid Vinnie.

Fishcakey · 01/02/2017 20:51

Nooooooooooooooo!!!!!

mum2be2boys · 01/02/2017 21:32

It's a name that has really grown on me over the last few weeks. I wasn't sure before, but it seems to be popping up on a lot of posts at the moment and I'm finding that I quite like it now!

mistermagpie · 01/02/2017 21:56

Mixed reviews then! I just can't decide at all, we are sorted for girls names but I can't come up with a single boys name that I love. Apart from Vincent I quite like Reuben and Hamish (we're in Scotland if that's relevant) so if anyone has suggestions that I might like too then please share them!

OP posts:
KlingybunFistelvase · 01/02/2017 21:59

Hamish is bloody amazing! Reuben is nice too but a bit meh compared to Hamish and Vincent.

Fwiw I think you will get mixed reviews for any name. Wait till he's born (if it's a he) and see which one he looks like Smile.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 01/02/2017 22:37

Gorgeous

MargotMoon · 01/02/2017 22:42

Vince is cool as fuck

Ordinarily · 01/02/2017 22:47

I like Vincent and Hamish, and quite like Reuben.

sailawaywithme · 01/02/2017 22:49

Hate it. Very Sopranos, or low-life East End gangster.
