It will be Lynn or Sky (we don't like the extra unnecessary 'e' on either name).

Thanks!

Sky

smilingsarahb · 28/01/2017 14:34

I like both. Probably just about prefer Lynn

mumhum · 28/01/2017 14:35

Can also be spelt Lyn

OublietteBravo · 28/01/2017 14:35

Lynn

Manumission · 28/01/2017 14:36

Sky

CharlesDD · 28/01/2017 14:36

Isn't 'Lyn' an alternative spelling though?

Thanks all Smile

Sky.

unflinchingasaphotograph · 28/01/2017 14:37

They're very different! I prefer Sky, as Lynn is very much in the Shirley, jean, Linda, Joan age of names for me.

daisydaisychain · 28/01/2017 14:38

I prefer sky but I admit I prefer it with the e so it's like the island not the sky.

mumhum · 28/01/2017 14:39

How do you mean Lyn is 'alternative'? The one I know is very conventional!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 28/01/2017 14:40

Definitely Lynn. What a change thatll be in a class full of Islas and Avas Sorry but sky just screams chav to me.

MrsMeeseeks · 28/01/2017 14:41

Sky. Lynn is a bit matronly.

CrystalMcPistol · 28/01/2017 14:41

I don't think the e on Skye is unnecessary. The beautiful island is Skye and better to be named after that than the vast expanse above our heads.

Big thumbs down to Lyn, Lynn and Lynne though.

KoalaDownUnder · 28/01/2017 14:43

Sky.

Lynn is of an era with Maxine, Barbara and Gwen. Yuck.

mumhum · 28/01/2017 14:44

I know a lovely Lyn born 40 years ago

CharlesDD · 28/01/2017 14:45

Yes but Lynn is the 'original' Lyn is an alternative spelling.

Atlast2017 · 28/01/2017 14:45

I like Sky. Lynn is very dated. It's a bit of a non name.

FearTheLiving · 28/01/2017 14:46

My DD is Sukai, pronounced sky. Spelt the Japanese way.

mumhum · 28/01/2017 14:52

I prefer Lyn, whichever spelling. Agree with PP Sky is a bit chavvy.

CharlesDD · 28/01/2017 14:56

Chavvy? What the heck is that supposed to even mean? Working class?

OP posts:
ThroughThickAndThin01 · 28/01/2017 14:57

Common (not as in popular) rather than working class.

I don't agree though, I like it.

Manumission · 28/01/2017 14:59

It's just your bog standard hate speech Charles

mumhum · 28/01/2017 14:59

chavvy - 'usually a younger and lowerer class person typified by loutish and brattish behaviour'

CharlesDD · 28/01/2017 14:59

What's 'common' supposed to mean? Confused

PaulaBBB · 28/01/2017 15:00

Sky. Not chavvy or neddy around here. Dd is the only one in her school.
