Critique our shortlist please!

I like long and mildly frilly names with lots of shortening options. DH likes classic but not boring names. We've agreed on a few:

Dominic
Nathaniel
Rowan
Benedict
Gregory
Laurence
Nicholas

I like Nathaniel best and DH likes Gregory.

Middle name will be Harry and surname is a single-syllable colour.

Thoughts?

Most posh man I ever met was called St John, pronounced Sinjun. Although that could just have been because he barely opened his mouth enough to speak, let alone enunciate clearly.

No, it's because that how St John as a name is pronounced. Lord knows why though!

I love Laurence and Rowan. Although I know a 2 year old Nicolas and think fab, would never have considered it before!

Nathaniel and Laurence would be my first choices. I really like Laurie as a shortening for Laurence Smile

From your list, I like Nathaniel.
Other suggestions, Jonathan and Sullivan.

Another vote for Nathaniel I love it and Nat or Nate as a shortening. Sadly my husband hates it so I didn't get to use it.
