Baby girl is 4 weeks old. We love Autumn Wren. Is it just too 'Yankee'? Sad

Sounds like the start of a kitchen's sale radio advert to me lol

1horatio · 05/01/2017 22:53

I really like Wren and Autumn is rather cute :)

And I love Autumn Carina Wren, which was suggested somewhere on this thread.

ScarletSienna · 05/01/2017 23:54

I think the suggestion of splitting the two names you really love is best. So Autumn Something Wren Surname.

Yika · 06/01/2017 00:26

I agree, add an extra middle name in between the two pretty names you have chosen, then you can keep both without anyone feeling it's too much.

WowserBowser · 06/01/2017 16:18

I actually loved Winter Wren for my baby! But i googled it, and like someone said, it's an actual bird.

So she is something else Wren now.

So obviously i love that part

Notso · 06/01/2017 16:28

Autumn Wren is not good, sorry.

I like Autumn Kate.

ReallyNotMyProblem · 06/01/2017 20:57

3 year old dd is called Autumn so I'm biased, but I love the name. I agree that together it may be a bit much though

Brown76 · 06/01/2017 20:59

I think it's very pretty

lilyborderterrier · 08/01/2017 15:17

My daughter is called Wren Elodie Clare ( we love it) am interested op what you decided on. I'm newly pregnant and tentatively thinking about names and I love Autumn. X

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 08/01/2017 17:10

Love both of the names OP, but I think they probably are a little much together.

buttercup54321 · 10/01/2017 23:51

Winter started in December lol. Autumn Wren is nice. Or you could have Wynter Robyn lol

Stephens17 · 11/01/2017 03:41

No? Winter is actually not until the middle of December. They use December 1st to make it easier, but technically it's mid December! I like it OP,

Roodolf · 11/01/2017 03:48

I think I'd go with Autumn Madeleine - beautiful. As I'm sure your baby girl is too OP.

Moodycoo · 11/01/2017 04:33

We have an Autumn Tabitha who was born in the summer 💕

nooka · 11/01/2017 07:57

December is absolutely winter. Not that it matters if you like the name. Personally I like Wren much more than Autumn, but that's irrelevant to the OP of course :) I think Autumn Madeleine works best of the three you've suggested. I think both Wren and Kate are too short, and the Autumn part of the name sounds a bit like a description to me. Plus I think it's a bit strange to use a diminutive as a middle name, I just can't see Kate as anything other than a shortening of Katherine.

KimmySchmidtsFakeXmasSmile · 11/01/2017 08:03

Well, I like it.
Autumn Wren sounds lovely OP.

Ontopofthesunset · 11/01/2017 12:31

The winter solstice (or hibernal solstice), also known as midwinter, is an astronomical phenomenon marking the day with the shortest period of daylight and the longest night of the year.

Not that it matters in terms of naming your daughter.
