Blossom or Lyra?

We have liked both names for a while... Lyra from the Pullman books and Blossom from a song we both like. Now not sure what to do as this is baby number 4 and definitely the last!

Do you know any Blossom's or Lyra's? Do you think they are popular names? Advice on them appreciated. Thanks!

Lyra! Blossom is definitely more of a cow's name, sorry.

Blossom for some reason makes me think of Bosoms and cows

I read it as Bosom at first. Not good Grin

Unless your child is a Boston Terrier, do not name them Blossom. It's hideous.

Blossom always reminds me of bosom too. It is quite an ugly sounding word. The actor that played little Mo called her baby Blossom.

Lyra (I have a little Lyra). On every Lyra thread at least one poster says 'sounds like lycra'. If there's a thread discussing the name Lyra I have to read it until I see that comment, something strangely comforting about it.

I like Lyra because it's like lyre. I like Blossom because 80s show.
The pretty, fiesty girl who plays Jamillah in cbbc Jamillah and Aladdin is a Blossom.

I love Lyra, it was on my girls list but we got a boy so will never have to hear my family's opinion on Lyra I'm thinking it wouldn't go down too well, they are very traditional and easily confused.

I can't honestly say I like Blossom. Fleur and Flora are nicer.

I would like Lyra if it wasn't so close to liar. I guess it works better in other languages.
