Name for our 4th

Stalingrad · 27/12/2016 22:07

We have three children called Matilda, Theodora and Wilfred. They are know as Tilda, Thea and Freddie.

We are now expecting our fourth. I haven't found any names I love yet
So I am open to suggestions. Especially ones that are slightly Victorian sounding and can be shortened to a name starting with T or F. Currently our uninspiring shortlist is:

Girls:
Violet (the girls chose this and really want it)
Eliza
Beatrice

Boys:
Hector
Arthur
Ernest
Gregory
Franklin

I like Josephine and Hermoine. But would not useHermoine due to HP connection. What do people think of Ottillie? Is it too close to Matilda? Or Cordelia?

I quite like Ferdinand. I think Arthur is in the lead for boys at the moment though. Arthur or Ernest nn Ernie.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 29/12/2016 09:07

Josephine is beautiful.
I know an Ottillie, nick named Tottie !

Stalingrad · 29/12/2016 09:12

My only worry about Josephine is I don't like Josie as a nn.

sonlypuppyfat · 29/12/2016 09:12

Gregory is nice but the rest of your boys names are awful

Stalingrad · 29/12/2016 09:31

My boy's names aren't awful. No names are objectively awful. But attraction to a name is subjective and obviously my names aren't to your taste. It's pretty egocentric to assume that anything not to your own taste is awful.

OP posts:
Sugarpiehoneyeye · 29/12/2016 09:47

Well, there is Posy, or I believe Ephie, or Effie.
Out of your boys names, I rather like Franklin.

sonlypuppyfat · 29/12/2016 11:02

No, they are awful

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 29/12/2016 11:12

Yes, I agree, but nevertheless, they are options, that others may like.

Stalingrad · 29/12/2016 11:49

Thank you for your constructive input PuppyFat. You used your time wisely to make the world a kinder place. Well done and happy new year.
