Name for our 4th

We have three children called Matilda, Theodora and Wilfred. They are know as Tilda, Thea and Freddie.

We are now expecting our fourth. I haven't found any names I love yet
So I am open to suggestions. Especially ones that are slightly Victorian sounding and can be shortened to a name starting with T or F. Currently our uninspiring shortlist is:

Girls:
Violet (the girls chose this and really want it)
Eliza
Beatrice

Boys:
Hector
Arthur
Ernest
Gregory
Franklin

I wanted Persephone nn posy. I love the name posy - you could use it for Josephine.

PersisFord · 29/12/2016 20:03

Or Jossy rather than joe-sy. Much better nn

You can never really dictate what a nickname will be though, they tend to evolve. Or little Josephine may well love Josie so insists that everyone calls her that.

Tabitha is pretty. That's growing on me a lot this evening.

I'm also liking Tobias. But I wonder if Wilfred and Tobias work well together as brothers. Wilfred and Arthur or Wilfred and Hector seem to "go" better.

Love your existing names and many of the suggestions, especially Ottilie. How about Ophelia? My cat is Cordelia and I love that too - DD is Miranda.

SophieofShepherdsBush · 29/12/2016 20:55

Gilbert, NN Bertie or gil

Stalingrad · 29/12/2016 20:59

Ophelia is lovely. DH says it's too posh but I'm putting it on the list anyway. I love Ottillie but it's too close to Tilda's nn.

Evangeline? NN Evie, angel, jelly, Lina?

caffelatte100 · 29/12/2016 22:15

if you like Ottillie, what about Ottoline?

Stalingrad · 29/12/2016 23:09

Ottoline is sweet but I think the natural nn is still Tilly and so we can't use it with a Tilda.
