Monty is lovely.

Elbi · 27/12/2016 08:20

Monty is very cute. Kyle makes think of Jeremy Kyle, sorry!

Nataleejah · 27/12/2016 08:57

Kyle. Ds3 almost got that name

eyebrowsonfleek · 27/12/2016 09:21

Monty makes me think of Mr Burns from the Simpsons while Kyle makes me think of Jeremy Kyle. On that basis, Monty.

IAmNotTheOneWhoKnocks · 27/12/2016 09:26

Monty is horrible, so Kyle wins by default.

MoreBushThanMoss · 27/12/2016 09:27

We got a puppy in September last year and called him Montgomery (Monty really).

In December I found out I was pregnant. When I found out baby was a boy I was DEVASTATED is wasted Monty on the bloody dog.

(Now have baby Bertie. (Registered Albert) Still wish it was baby Monty a bit though Xmas Blush)

Those two names have a very different feel. It's unusual to be torn between two such different names.
Kyle is streetwise, a bit cheeky and brash
Monty is completely unstreetwise, gentle and tries hard but a bit bumbling, eccentric.

So what sort of vibe are you going with?
I'll just drop Marley in as a sort of "in between the two" name....

Theonlyoneiknow · 27/12/2016 09:34

Definitely Kyle but then I'm biased Grin

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 27/12/2016 09:35

Monty.

clumsyduck · 27/12/2016 09:48

Agree with oldbirdy they are kind of extremes of names .

Not a popular view on here but depends were you live I think round here Kyle would be fairly standard though not as popular as when I was younger were as monty would raise a few eyebrows and stick out a bit . I actually like both names though

Aftertheraincomesthesun · 27/12/2016 10:54

This is the Monty I think of. Monty Roberts

Monty or Kyle?
RobinSnood · 27/12/2016 11:16

Monty

SirChenjin · 27/12/2016 11:19

Monty

Kyle is a bit 'the word we don't say on MN' round here.

TheNaze73 · 27/12/2016 12:10

Monty, all day of the week.

Kyle is one of the worst names out there.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 27/12/2016 12:13

I don't like either but kyle would have to have my vote as I know 4 dogs, a cat and a horse called monty

Biscuitsneeded · 27/12/2016 12:15

Monty. Kyle is a naughty boy name. Sorry!

hoddtastic · 27/12/2016 12:17

Kyle is really bad.

I really liked Monty (however OH vetoed it as apparently 'Uncle Monty is a terrible cunt' I think he's a character in a film)

Monty for sure if you are going with either or, Kyle is shaven headed, has an earring, and is naughty.

MikeUniformMike · 27/12/2016 15:37

Monty sounds like it's a pet. Kyle is a no.
Monty Don is really Montagu.

buttercup54321 · 27/12/2016 19:54

Kyle. Knew a dog called Monty when I was a child.

DramaAlpaca · 27/12/2016 21:36

Kyle

FourKidsNotCrazyYet · 27/12/2016 21:37

Oh Monty! Definitely! I love it!!

BlossomHillOne · 27/12/2016 21:41

Kyle is awful.

Monty was my nickname for DS1 before he was born - wish I'd brave enough to use it!

Mrspig86 · 27/12/2016 21:45

Definitely Monty!

WaitrosePigeon · 27/12/2016 21:46

Kyle reminds me of a thug.

I love Monty. My dog is called Monty. We wanted to call our son Monty but it didn't 'fit'. Really like Monty!

Lovelybangers · 27/12/2016 22:05

Monty
