Dan-eye. As in the Gustav Klimt painting.

My friend says her name Dan-eye. It's the Greek pronunciation.

PenguinsAreAce · 09/12/2016 18:58

Da-nay

Reminds me of mmmm Danone.

elQuintoConyo · 09/12/2016 18:59

Dan-aye.

I can't see how you could get Dar-nee out of it?! You might as well have 'this is Mike, spelt d-a-r-n-e-e

Is it a girl's name?

TataEs · 09/12/2016 19:03

SaltyBitch · 09/12/2016 19:04

dan-ay

Joinourclub · 09/12/2016 19:11

Duh-nay , with the stress on the nay- sort of like d'nay.

AmeliaJack · 09/12/2016 19:12

The one I know is dan-ay

SophieLion · 09/12/2016 19:14

Dan-eye (accent/stress on the eye)
Can also be spelt Danai.
It's a Greek name and in Greek the "D" is actually pronounced like a very thick "th" - a bit like the "th" in "the"

GertrudeBelle · 09/12/2016 19:15

Day-ni

SophieLion · 09/12/2016 19:15

And yes it's a girl's name!

Yika · 09/12/2016 19:16

Dan-eye-ay

ScarletForYa · 09/12/2016 19:16

Dan-ay

Dar-nee ?Confused

No, there's no 'r' in it.

Puremince · 09/12/2016 19:16

Duh-nay as joinoursaid.

Namelesswonder · 09/12/2016 19:23

I would think Dan-aa - in the East of Scotland that would be easily confused with danae which means 'don't know'!
