What are your favourite names? Guilty pleasures or the names of/plans for DC, throw it all at me.

I'm a bit too early on in my pregnancy to be putting together name lists so I'm just throwing a few of my favourites out there in hope of a little feedback, and asking for yours in return for inspiration.

Boys: Clement, Laurent, Bellamy, Ezra, Heath, Christopher, John, Jack/Jaques, Ernest, Wren.

Girls: Margo(t), Cecily, Delphine, Rose, Eleanor (Nelle, Nora), Wilhelmina, Colette, Magdalena.

OH isn't keen on most of these

I really like Martha, Eleanor, Charlotte, Evelyn (nn Eve or Evie).
Unfortunately DP didn't like any of them so it's a good job we had a boy.

PonderLand · 07/12/2016 00:48

Oh Mariella too!

reindeerbitesback · 07/12/2016 01:25

ponder -Martha! Beautiful name.

If I ever have another boy (have three already!) I think I'd go for Christopher David,
ive never even pondered girls names because I've never even suspected I've been pregnant wth one!

UnoriginalNN · 07/12/2016 11:06

Serena.

I really want to use it. Don't feel brave enough!

UnoriginalNN · 07/12/2016 11:07

Boys:

Barto (this is not even a name in its own right but I like it)
...all of which were vetoed by DH

reindeerbitesback · 07/12/2016 11:51

thinkpink - Vivienne is another name in the back of my mind, it is so pretty. I also really like Hector.

Skyyequake - I love the name Harper for a boy, but the current popularity of it as a girls name puts me off a little Sad

reindeerbitesback · 07/12/2016 11:53

unoriginal - Serena is beautiful, what requires bravery to use it?

OP posts:
reindeerbitesback · 07/12/2016 11:57

gruffalos - CELESTINE. Ugh, OH has all but vetoed both Celeste and Celestine and I am gutted SadIt is so elegant.

CakeRattleandRoll · 07/12/2016 13:17

My favourites from your lists are:
Boys: Clement and John (Agree with pp that Wren is more of a girl's name).
Girls: Margot and Colette

Some of mine:
Boys: Osian, Felix, Edward, Jago, Nathaniel
Girls: Miranda, Miriam, Elspeth, Tabitha, Corisande

skyyequake · 07/12/2016 16:07

reindeer lots of people are calling their girls James at the moment... I don't think anyone will blink twice at a boy having a unisex name!

DoItTooJulia · 07/12/2016 16:11

I loved Loveday for a girl. DH thinks we're lucky to have had boys.

But I also like Star, Seren, Otillie, Bo and Lilleth.

Buzz was vetoed off my boys list too.

Damn that DH and his middle of the road sensibilities!

Flingmoo · 07/12/2016 16:13

Quentin, Julian, James, Christian, Reuben

Florence, Zara, Heidi, Ellie

reindeerbitesback · 07/12/2016 16:14

doittojulia - I know a Loveday, I thought it a very odd name upon first hearing but it had grown on me hugely in recent years.

reindeerbitesback · 07/12/2016 16:17

cakerattleandroll - (love your user btw) Osian is one of my OH's favourites. It's nice to hear of others who like the name, I find it reassuring for some reason.
