Our little one is several days old & we're really stuck on a name. Our surname is double barrelled and begins with E. we have 3 shortlisted. One she looks like but not either of our favourites, one is my favourite & 1 is DP's. What are your thoughts on these names please?

Adeline (rhymes with Caroline)
Imogen
Niah (rhymes with fire)

Thanks Smile

Again! Classic name, beautiful and not overused. Adeline is sweet but just seems a bit faddy by comparison and I dint like the sound of Niah if it does rhyme with fire. Love Nia though.

Adeline

Not Niah. It looks made up, doesn't sound very nice and doesn't look especially nice written down. You'll also get lots of people pronouncing it "NEE-ah".

Imogen and Adeline are lovely, however!

twilightrevolution · 05/12/2016 13:26

Adeline for me, too. Congrats!

Adeline or Imogen, both are lovely.

Not keen on Niah at all.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 05/12/2016 14:00

Another vote for Imogen. Congratulations Flowers

beela · 05/12/2016 14:00

Imogen.

She'll spend the rest of her life correcting the pronunciation of the other two (Adeleene and Nee-ah) - you've already had to explain the pronunciation on your original post!

Brown76 · 05/12/2016 14:02

I like them all but I think Imogen simplest to pronounce and nice with an E surname.

halcyondays · 05/12/2016 14:05
