How do you pronounce William?

I say it with 3 syllables, but it's supposed to only be 2?

To me it's WILL-yum. I don't have a particularly RP accent though.

I was Williams once upon a time and I say it with 3 syllables, Willy um.

Three syllables. I have a friend called William, and he doesn't like being called Will-yum.

It's sort of in between Will-yum and Will-ee-yum. It's a very short, almost elided middle vowel. It's not three distinct syllables.

2 syllables Will- yum. The second syllable is a bit drawn out with a bit of a ye though.

Mostly Will I Am but when I'm being serious it's will ee um

Will-ee-um but the ee is very short.

Will-yum makes me think of Clarrie Grundy in the Archers and her 'country bumpkin' accent.
