They both sound very similar which it's making it hard to decide. I'm veering towards Emilia because it's slightly less popular than Amelia.

Emilia - has more nicknames too - can be a Millie or an Em/Emmie.

Definitely prefer Emilia - I think it looks nicer. I know that Amelia is a well known and very popular spelling, but it's also the name of a congenital medical condition.

I think I prefer how Amelia looks but the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy is gorgeous helpful
