I love it! Really wanted to use it but my husband thinks it sounds too much like a baddie.

I completely love it, despite bad memories of Silas Marner at school.

Not keen. They're always mean as characters (although Silas Marner redeemed himself) but the Dan Brown one didn't. And that one I've not heard of up thread sounds mean too.

So that'd be a no from me. (And that's if I've remembered properly!)

It's quite a nice name but I agree with the villain thing; the murderous, self-flagellating albino monk in The Da Vinci Code is called Silas. What about Seth?

Really like it. Would have been on our list if DD had been a boy. As would Cyrus, mentioned by pp.

To me it's got the same feel as Ezra so could be the next fashionable name. I really like it.
