Edward on BC.

He'll be known by Woody though. Thoughts?

I like it!

plimsolls · 04/11/2016 20:00

Yes! I like that he has option of more traditional name on BC. Woody is a clever nn for Edward!

Joinourclub · 04/11/2016 20:01

Drop it before late primary though or you line him up for all the erection jokes his peers can think of ...

Facetoot · 04/11/2016 20:02

First thought is Allen (not a fan) but I'm sure after a short while it would just become the name of a sweet boy. Next thoughts are Toy Story and Woodpecker, but nicknames are good because you always have the full name in reserve if need be.

PenguinsAreAce · 04/11/2016 20:02

Honestly? No.

lucyluce123 · 04/11/2016 20:03

Helen - he can then pick though? I'll keep naming him Woody and known by it at school, until he picks!

love it -

IllMetByMoonlight · 04/11/2016 20:07

Love Woody, but would probably initially associate with Woody Allen (bleurgh). Woody Harrelson, OTOH...

BratFarrarsPony · 04/11/2016 20:09

Yes it sounds nice.

BobbieDog · 04/11/2016 20:09

It strikes me as abit try too hard to be different.

celtiethree · 04/11/2016 20:11

I think you're setting your DS up for a life time of teasing, secondary school would be awful. Just look at the urban dictionary. Just no.

MissClarke86 · 04/11/2016 20:12

I just think of Woody from toy story.

BratFarrarsPony · 04/11/2016 20:13

oh woody is slang for erection.
Best not then perhaps.

Back to the drawing board OP...

hawaii6oh · 04/11/2016 20:13

I know a Woody. It's a nn and he is lovely! He's about 30 now and still Woody. I think it's great!

srslylikeomg · 04/11/2016 20:13

Love it! Also like Arlo (Woody Guthrie link)

twattymctwatterson · 04/11/2016 20:19

Too Toy Story. Sorry OP!

Pluto30 · 04/11/2016 20:19

Well known slang for erection here.

I wouldn't use it.

Soubriquet · 04/11/2016 20:21

Erection followed by toy story

Hate it

Baboobaboo · 04/11/2016 20:49

Really cute and great that he has Edward for when he gets older
