Help! Do you have any ideas? :)

I'm so unsure! :( can't think of anything...

TatteredOwl · 27/10/2016 23:35

I have a Teddy and believe it or not it's his actual real name. He's not Edward or Theodore.. no, he is Teddy. I forgot to check beforehand with MN as to whether this was allowed though Grin

I like both names OP, just ignore the idiots on here

Gileswithachainsaw · 27/10/2016 23:35

I'm actually very Envy Now..id love a little buffy.

And willow was on my shortlist for both dds except vetoed by a miserable boring dp.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 27/10/2016 23:36

You pays your money and takes your chances on here OP. You're being a bit over sensitive when (as I explained quite kindly and as others have too) you are in the most part the author of your own misfortune. No need to tell people to fuck off.

ShmooBooMoo · 27/10/2016 23:36

I didn't know Buffy was a nickname for Elizabeth. I love Teddy, btw!
I think Wilbur would be nice for a boy (Will) or Vincent (Vinny)
Maybe Ellen or Eleanor (Nelly) for a girl?
Smile

LadyAEIOU · 27/10/2016 23:37

If you called baby Mary it would be the same names as Henry VIII children (not suggesting but as a huge Tudors fan thought it was cool).

Do you know what you are having and do you have any names you like?

LilyRosePoppy · 27/10/2016 23:39

Eleanor, NN Nelly is definitely at the top for a girl! Thanks for that :) it starts with E too!

Yardley42 · 27/10/2016 23:41

Edwina? Nn Winnie maybe.

Manumission · 27/10/2016 23:43

Difficult because you need the NNs to work together AND the full names to work together AND the NN needs to be 'known' diminutive of the full name. (I must admit I'd never heard of Buffy being an accepted shortening of Elizabeth.)

Dolly/Dorothy
Daisy/Marguerite

spring to mind. Boys feel harder.

ElaeudanlaTeiteia · 27/10/2016 23:45

I like both names. There was a 70s singer called Buffy Sainte Marie, so it's not as though the name was invented by the TV prog.

Like a pp I am quite envious of OP for having a wee Buffy and Teddy, that is adorable.

TinklyLittleLaugh · 27/10/2016 23:48

Your names are lovely OP

How about
Hal - Henry
Kit - Christopher
Connie - Constance
Tilly - Matilda
Clemens - Clementine

Manumission · 27/10/2016 23:52

Manumission · 27/10/2016 23:55

Or Ernest, NN Ernie?

The E name thing is a huge complication Smile

Nelly is very nice. Maybe you should pray hard for a girl?Grin

TinklyLittleLaugh · 27/10/2016 23:57

All my four have classic proper Christian names and more funky everyday nicknames.

Queenbean · 27/10/2016 23:58

Alexandra NN Binky

Or Bonkarella, NN Bonky

GiddyGiddyGoat · 28/10/2016 00:01

Ethelred - nn Red
Ernest - nn Ernie
Evan - nn Van
Edgar - no nn
Elvis - no nn
Emerson - nn Emmy
Englebert - nn Bert / Bertie
Enoch - no nn
Ephraim - Ephy
Errol - no nn
Esau - no nn
Ezekiel - nn Zeke / Zee

ShmooBooMoo · 28/10/2016 00:03

Smile Yeah, I love Eleanor shortened to Nelly and I think it goes well with the names of your other children. You might also like Edith shortened to Edie.
Also think Hector would be nice for a boy with not sure what you could shorten to. Another suggestion is Ewan (maybe shorten to Huey)? Abner is an unusual boys' name and can be shortened to Ebbie.
Smile

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 28/10/2016 00:03
