Isadora. Lilibet is pretty awful and Tatiana is too much.

Stevefromstevenage · 22/10/2016 21:40

Isadora then Tatiana

RaingodswithZippos · 22/10/2016 21:41

Isadora reminds me of Wizadora... Lillibet is the Queen's nickname. Tatiana is quite pretty but very Russian.

Sophronia · 22/10/2016 21:42

I prefer Isidora spelled this way

JennyOnAPlate · 22/10/2016 21:42

Isadora. I know a 6 year old lilibet and she's lovely, but i really don't like the name!

Shurelyshomemistake · 22/10/2016 21:43

Isadora - very nice.

Lilibet sounds dated and I can't imagine a Judge Lilibet or a Dr Lilibet xxxx.

Tatiana always reminds me of Barry Taylor's Russian wife, in the newer version of Auf Wiedersehn, Pet, said with a very prononunced brummy accent.

I love Isadora, if I was having another it'd be my top girl's name.

ricepolo · 22/10/2016 21:44

Sorry but they're all a bit much for me. If i had to pick, then Isadora but I'd always shorten it to Izzy. Not Lillibet (babyish so wouldn't be great for an adult) and Tatiana, whilst beautiful, is very Russian so wouldn't work unless you are Russian!!

Fannyfannakerpants · 22/10/2016 21:45

I really like Isadora but dh and I couldn't agree on a shortened version. It should be Sadie (no idea why). I like isa but really didn't want an Izzy.

RaingodswithZippos · 22/10/2016 21:46

Shurely that's who I was thinking of too but didn't think anyone else would remember that!

calzone · 22/10/2016 21:46

I wouldn't want to be called any of those names.

Would you?

ChittyBB · 22/10/2016 21:47

My paternal grandparents are Russian so there is a link.

Older sister is Nina.

Isadora
The best of a bad bunch
Agree with PP that Lillibet is a mispronunciation that turned into a nickname
And tatiana is a bit meh

Shurelyshomemistake · 22/10/2016 21:51

Raingods, I loved that programme. Tati-ooooah-nah...

TooPlain · 22/10/2016 21:53

Well Tatiana is too close to Nina in sound. Lillibet was the Queen's childhood nickname, it's a diminutive not a name on its own right like the other two so I would rule that out as being a different type of name altogether. That leaves Isadora which is actually ok but I think Dora would go much better with your other dd's name.

Allalonenow · 22/10/2016 22:05

Isadora is gorgeous, do use it!

Lillibet was what what the Queen called herself when a little girl who couldn't pronounce Elizabeth, so I wouldn't use it.
Tatiana is a Russian spiv's girlfriend, so I wouldn't use it.

Pluto30 · 22/10/2016 22:08

I like Tatiana in full, but the Tatiana I knew got called Tat and Tati (prn. Tatty) for short, which is pretty awful.

Lillibet isn't a proper name. It's just a nickname for Elizabeth, essentially invented by Queen Elizabeth II.

I don't like Isadora, though I like Dora.

albertcampionscat · 22/10/2016 22:19

Elizabeth with Lillibet as nn?

BendydickCuminsnatch · 22/10/2016 22:23

I'd probably go for Tatiana out of the 3 - Lillibet incredibly twee and lispy, Isadora is quite dumpy and makes me think of Wizadora and will blend in to all the other Izzies out there. Tatiana is nice but quite princessy.

VivienneWestwoodsKnickers · 22/10/2016 22:26

Lillibet is a nickname for Elizabeth.

Tatiana seems very Russian, so does that work with your situation?

Isadora is pretty, but will it be shortened to Izzy? Are you ok with that?

Cockadoodledooo · 22/10/2016 22:29

Lillibet is a nickname imo. I think with Russian heritage I'd go for Tatiana.

FunnysInLaJardin · 22/10/2016 22:30

I love Lillibet, tis a fab name

livinglooney8 · 22/10/2016 22:30

Tatiana is a beautiful name. Knew one shortened to Tatty with friends.
Love Isadora too. Prefer Dora as nn as tons of Izzies here yawn.
Prefer Elizabeth to lillibet.
Unusual beautiful choices and a breath of fresh air from the usual Evies/Isabellas/Islas/ Amelias etc.

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 22/10/2016 22:30

Isadora

Lilibet sounds too much like a pet name rather than a real name IMO

Tatiana is ok but I much prefer Isadora

P.s. I recently read 'fear of flying' and the protagonist is called Isadora. Great book
