Love NO boy names :(

24 weeks pregnant with dc1. Before finding out the sex I had a huge list of girl names and no boy names at all. I just can't find any boy names that I like, never mind love Hmmgirl names are so beautiful and easy to shortlist, why is finding a boy name so hard! Sad

Some boy names that I think are OK
-Leo
-Toby
-Freddie
-Arthur
-Harrison

Still all seem so dull to me. Thinking of using a name that could be used for a boy or a girl. Suggestions on this could be helpful.

These were on my most current list, but we're having a girl (and I'm struggling for the perfect name!)

Thelonius
Benedict
Edison
Tiberius

litttlemisssunshine · 20/10/2016 01:56

Quite liking Edison!Smile actually never heard of it before but it looks great written down and sounds nice too, thank youGrin

Oh no, I never knew how hard it could be! At least I'm not the only one struggling.

My girl shortlist was;
-Sophia
-Delilah
-Eliza
-Evelyn
-Maddison

Your girl names are longer than your boy list - almost all three syllables. Maybe think of some 3+ syllable boys names?

Sebastian
Dominic
Julian
Alistair
Lucian
Jeremy
Tobias
Alexander
Elliot

I felt exactly the same the dreamt I was chasing a little blonde boy on a beach. His name was Benjamin and that was that! He's Benji mostly and we chose Arlo as a middle name. I love his name xx

litttlemisssunshine · 20/10/2016 02:43

Yes I quite like Tobias, Nn Toby. I also like Elliott which funnily enough is DP surname, and will be his surname too, so I guess it's already part of his name Grin

Benjamin is lovely! Was one of my favourite boy names, but me being me I suggested it to my step sister a few year ago and she used it for her DS. Didn't really picture myself having children at this time though!

I find myself watching credits of films and programs to see if I like any names Smile

I was the same when we had ds2.
We found some names that we agreed that we liked that were ok but nothing that we really wanted. We had a girls name pretty easily. In the end we found a name about 4 weeks before he was born by going through top 100 names in U.K , USA and Australia.
When we had ds1 and dd we found the names that we wanted straight away, so I was starting to panic a bit. Best of luck!!! Xxxx

Madison is a girls name and IMO it's a bit meh.

Harrison is awful.

groovygreenwichgirl · 20/10/2016 15:07

Love Leo, Toby and Arthur from your list.

What do you think about: Theo, Noah, Jonah, Ezra, Caleb?

Madison is definitely a girls name .

groovygreenwichgirl · 20/10/2016 15:40

Oh if you want unisex names what about Ellis? I know a girl and a boy called this.

phoebe2016 · 20/10/2016 15:42

I absolutely love Bear. If I do have a boy then that shall be his name :)
